Call Of Duty: Warzone – Best Landing Spots In Verdansk

The Verdansk map has returned in Call of Duty: Warzone, and it’s time to relearn the best landing spots all over again. Billed as the “original big map,” this classic location isn’t quite the same as you remember it, as it’s been completely rebuilt, with additional areas and a shoreline. Even though you think you may have a handle on how everything is playing out in the new iteration of Verdansk, it’s worth a refresher. The decision of where you drop first could dictate how well you do in the rest of the entire match.
Because this updated Verdansk map isn’t a one-to-one recreation, it can be tough to decipher which areas are the best landing spots. While there are plenty of quick-gearing-up options available across the map, there are a few key locations you can use to get an edge, joining the ranks of Warzone‘s best drop locations.

Superstore Is A Great Drop Option For Catching Players Off Guard
Despite The Name, It’s Rather Cozy
Sometimes, you’re going to want to drop into a smaller location, especially if you find yourself alone and need to gear up fast. That’s where Superstore comes in, which takes inspiration from smaller electronics boutiques of old. It’s a cozy locale where you’ll be able to move around freely without worrying about too many enemies flooding it. The layout is very straightforward, with most of the gear on the ground level, so you can breach, clear, and loot everything you need quickly.

The CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle returns to Warzone along with Verdansk. Here are the best attachments for the gun to improve its recoil and range.
In my experience, many opposing Call of Duty: Warzone players pass by the Superstore in a bid for larger, more lucrative zones, so you can clean up early and get your squad sorted for wherever you’re heading next. Its semi-central location provides plenty of options to scatter to afterward, including the nearby Boneyard and Train Station. It is a named location though, so odds are some folks are going to stop by and check out the Superstore, so stay alert.
If you hear anyone coming, hiding behind the registers near the front of the store is a great place to launch a sneak attack. The right angle of the front door and the cash handling area make it very hard to see players at a glance when entering the Superstore. All the junk lying around can make it tough to spot other players as well, so this is one small but useful place you may want to memorize the layout of.

The TV Station Is Another Snug Spot, But Ripe For Loot
There Are Several Places To Hide, Too
If you’re looking for a medium-sized drop point that can gear you up, but isn’t too popular of a spot, the TV Station near the middle of the returning Verdansk map is a great place to start a match. You can clear it out fairly easily and quickly, and rooftop windows allow for easy and immediate aerial access to the TV Station. Whether you’re wandering in from the streets or up above, the TV Station has a decent amount of loot spots to peruse through opponents might easily miss.
The TV Station like a hidden gem on the Verdansk map.
Its central location means you can fan out afterward with your squad, and start clearing out other teams while you’re sufficiently geared up. Consider it like a hidden gem on the Verdansk map, and head into it mid-match to stock up on a few forgotten items and weapons. If you hear someone and want to launch an ambush, the newsroom has quite a few desks and cubicles to hide behind.
Dropping into the TV Station is great practice for how to efficiently clear out locations, because of how labyrinthine it can seem before you really get to know where everything is tucked away. Coupled with the aforementioned hiding spots, it’s the perfect place to plan your next move, whether it’s at the start of a match or near the end.

If You’re Looking For Tons of Loot, The Quarry Is Ideal, But Can Be Dangerous
Stay On High Ground
As a corner location, the Call of Duty: Warzone Quarry isn’t always going to be available as a long-term squad stomping ground, but it offers plenty of loot and lots of hiding spaces (as well as vehicles if you need to hightail it elsewhere). The open nature of an outdoor location like the Quarry can be dangerous, so always stick by a building in case you’re hit with errant fire.
The Quarry is actually comprised of several zones: an industrial area on the perimeter, and the actual Quarry itself. Keep in mind that heading down into the lower levels of the Quarry can be dangerous, especially as other squads pick up ranged weaponry. Make sure that you hit the buildings on the perimeter of the Quarry first to gear up for the potential descent.
Surprisingly, the industrial complex also offers ample opportunities for hiding spots and attacking from sniper nests. In the warehouses, windows can be hard to see into but easy to see out of, letting you line up a perfect headshot before anyone knows you’re there.

The Train Station Offers Vantage Points for Snipers, As Well As Close Quarters Combat
There’s Something For Everyone At The Train Station
The Train Station is one of the tallest buildings in Verdansk, which makes it immediately appealing to players who prefer ranged combat. You can easily make it to the roof both indoors and outdoors: just watch it if you’re heading up to the top of the Train Station with the latter approach, as you’ll be easy to spot on your ascent. The Train Station is the definition of risk-reward, since much of it is exposed to other teams. With that in mind, it does offer a lot of cover if you go inside of the main building. Another less obvious bonus of hanging around the Train Station is that it bolsters close quarters combat.
Given the verticality of the Train Station, there are stairwells on each side that lead to the roof, with boards blocking the doors on the middle levels. This is a great way to catch other players off guard, or even hide until the heat is off. When you’re on the roof, make sure to duck down and use the angled awnings to your advantage. Even high up, you can conceal yourself in the Train Station at all times, weaving indoors and outdoors in the relative shadows.
Check the stairwells for enemies slowly and quietly, and consider deploying a barrier inside if you get hit with enemy fire. On the flip side, you’ll be able to quickly trap enemies if you use a pincer maneuver from the top and bottom with your squad. The Train Station is a great place to hatch a plan to take out an enemy squad, and it’s one of the best places you can drop and explore at any point in the match.

The Boneyard Is Our Top Pick For Dropping in Verdansk
There’s Heaps Of Vantage Points
Out of every drop location on the Verdansk map, the Boneyard is easily my favorite. Do yourself a favor and acclimate yourself to this drop spot early, as the various nooks and crannies hide tons of loot, as well as hidden spots to catch enemy players off guard. Going into the fuselage of the broken aircraft that litter the Boneyard and shooting out of the windows will get you a few kills per game.
It’s very easy to get lost in the ruins of the Boneyard, so use the markings on the sides of planes and your coordinates for reference if you ever need to center yourself. In squads, you can cover both sides of the fuselage in the decaying planes, while heading into hangars for extra loot. Again, the Boneyard is one of the most massive zones in Verdansk, so there’s plenty to explore here. Making a point to learn the layout early can help you win more games and clean up on loot.
Each one of the decaying planes in the Boneyard could contain a key item, so check as many as possible quickly and quietly to get a leg up at the start of a match.
Sometimes, heading to the Boneyard later in a match won’t be an option due to how the safe zones play out. Since it’s located in the southeast corner, it’s sometimes forgotten by other teams as they drop into more central named locations before they fan out. Either way, going to the Boneyard in Call of Duty: Warzone early will let you stock up for the rest of the round.
