Jon and Kate Plus 8 reached its conclusion years ago, and so has Kate Gosselin with reality TV. Sources close to Kate revealed to In Touch Weekly whether she will return to reality TV and whether she will reconcile with Collin Gosselin after his shocking interview detailing his alleged abuse from his mother. Although Kate is content, sources reveal that there is something, or someone, missing.

The TLC reality series aired from 2007 to 2009 after Kate filed for divorce from ex-husband Jon Gosselin. Following their divorce, the show was renamed Kate Plus 8 in 2010, which focused on Kate as a single mother. Despite Jon and his lawyers suspending filming, the show ran until 2017. As the show was filming, there was tension behind the scenes, as Collin shared that his mother abused him and isolated him from his siblings. After the interview, Kate received more media attention.

Since the conclusion of Jon and Kate Plus 8, Kate worked as a nurse and has also renewed her nursing licence. Previous reports revealed that Kate was looking for work in reality TV as she struggled with her finances, though the doors were “not opening for her.” However, sources stated that she was done with reality TV.

“Kate says she’s content,” the source shared “She has her kids in her life, not all of them. She’s still estranged from Collin, but she hopes that will change someday. She says she’s done with reality TV, but you never know.

A ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ Reunion is Likely

Despite accusing his mother of abuse, Collin is open to reconciling with his mother, but on some conditions. After his emotional interview with The U.S. Sun, he shared the reasons why he is open to reuniting with his mother and what she has to do for them to heal their relationship. As for his estranged siblings, Aeden Gosselin, Leah Gosselin, Alexis Gosselin, Joel Gosselin, Mady Gosselin, and Cara Gosselin, he expressed how important it is for him to reunite with them.

“So first and foremost, my relationship with my brothers and sisters is of top priority to me,” he said, “and I think the only way that my mother and I would be able to reconnect and fix our relationship in the future is if she would just come forward with the truth and all the things that she has kept under wraps.”

“And you know the many times that she’s tried to soil my name and my father’s name,” he added, “I just would want her to come forward with the truth. “[But] Yes, that door would be open. 100 percent.”

Jon and Kate Plus 8 can be streamed on Discovery+.
