Justin Bieber knows how to be goofy on Instagram. In his hilarious new update, he shared a screenshot of his FaceTime call with Stevie Wonder with the caption, “This fool never sees my facetimessss.”
The “Sorry” crooner looked all smiles in the black-and-white FaceTime snapshot, which he paired with the Grammy-winning singer’s song “Overjoyed.” Bieber and Wonder’s professional relationship goes back a decade and a half. The duo first met to perform “Someday at Christmas” at a 2011 charity benefit show in Los Angeles. Later, they also performed together on the reality show The X Factor.
Stevie Wonder, one of the most revered musicians of the 20th century, has been candid about his journey of visual impairment. The legendary singer lost his sight shortly after he was born. He talked about the impact of his vision loss on his family in The Wonder of Stevie podcast.
In a conversation with Wesley Morris and Barack Obama, he shared, “I was born. Shortly after that, I’m blind. My mother went through the different things, and so my experience with that was deep.”
The “Superstition” hit-maker confessed that it was his mother who was worried about him and would cry “every night.” Wonder revealed that he had to urge his mother to stop crying as it made his “head hurt.”
Wonder believed that his vision loss was part of a “bigger journey.” He assured his mother by sharing, “Maybe God has something for me that’s bigger than all this. History proved that true.”
Additionally, fans believe that Wonder and Bieber might collaborate in the future. Bieber had posted an Instagram update recently where he asked artists to “DM” him for any collaboration opportunities. Several iconic artists commented under the post, including Drake, who complained that Bieber has seen-zone him.
