Biniyam is from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, where Ariela moved in The Other Way season 2 while she was six months pregnant. Ariela’s family was against the decision, and Ariela too eventually came to the U.S., where she ended up marrying Biniyam. However, after four years together, Biniyam started to check out of the marriage. There were photos of Biniyam kissing another woman while Ariela confirmed they were separated before receiving couples therapy.
Biniyam was married to a different American woman before he met Ariela. The woman named Bria had a son with Biniyam and had even managed to bring him to the U.S. briefly to witness the birth of their child. However, Bria left Biniyam when they returned to Ethiopia, and she took their son Simon along. Biniyam never admitted to it but suggested that Bria left him because he was cheating on her. It’s not surprising that Biniyam also cheated on Ariela the same way and ended his relationship in a similar manner.

It was the first time since their 2020 debut that Ariela spoke about Biniyam cheating on her at the beginning of their marriage. Ariela accused Biniyam of cheating on her and being in a relationship when he was still with her. Biniyam had insisted that he end things with the woman when he found out Ariela had become pregnant with his baby. Biniyam claimed he felt bad, so he continued talking to her. However, Ariela had seen pictures of the woman lying on her bed in her house. Biniyam refused to tell the truth and walked out of the conversation.
However, during a preview (via 90dayfiance_alexa) of the 90 Day: The Last Resort season 2 Tell All Part 2, Biniyam is interrogated by Shawn Robinson on the incident. When she asks him if he cheated on a pregnant Ariela, he replies, “I want to say, like in the beginning…” and tries to talk in circles when his co-stars ask him to get to the point. Biniyam finally responds, “I would say ‘yes.’” He admits that he did cheat on Ariela while she was pregnant and adds, “For that one, I apologize.”

Upon hearing Biniyam admit to the truth, Ariela declares that at the end of the day, she just wants to move on and Biniyam wants to do so too. The 90 Day: The Last Resort Tell All was filmed in January 2025, but in February 2025, Ariela was the one who revealed that Biniyam was one of the dancers featured during Kendrick Lamar’s iconic Super Bowl Halftime show. She then revealed that she was working as his manager. It appears that Biniyam and Ariela have decided to give their relationship another try.
