I Don’t Think Anyone in ’90 Day Fiancé’s Throuple Is Being Honest

I’ve been suspicious of 90 Day Fiancé‘s newest throuple from the beginning of Season 11, but after this latest episode I’m even more wary of the newcomers. Amani and Matt Jlassi are a married couple with two kids. After being together for about a decade, Amani and Matt decided to add another woman to their relationship. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise couple have been dating Any for about a year and are in love. They believe that Any is the woman of their dreams, and they’re hoping to get married to her. However, their situation is a little more risky.

Amani and Matt would have to get divorced so one of them could apply for the K-1 visa and get remarried to Any. This was a big decision for the married couple, especially with the kids involved. To ensure they were making the right decision, they made a special trip to Mexico where they were hoping they’d get to meet Any’s family and ultimately ask for their blessing if all went well on the trip. Unfortunately, though, they haven’t met the family yet and more and more red flags keep coming about.

’90 Day Fiancé’s Any Might Be More Interested in Matt

As each episode goes on, the throuple storyline gets murkier. Amani tried to be open-minded throughout the trip. The married pair had plans to propose to Any after all. However, the trip only revealed one red flag after another, leading to Amani feeling like she was being pushed out of the picture and I can understand her point of view. I think Amani made some amazing points in her confessional. Currently, it seems like Any might be more interested in Matt, simply based on their interactions. Any kissed Matt first when they arrived, and she was also intimate with him when Amani wasn’t around.

Not to be dramatic, but if these don’t happen… it’s personal.

Any was honest about the sexual encounter, earning her a few brownie points, but Matt wasn’t as transparent. He claimed he didn’t know he had to be, which seemed to exacerbate the situation. However, I understood why Amani felt strongly about the lack of communication or transparency from her husband. Amani would’ve preferred more communication and without it, a divide began to appear which plays into her insecurities. Communication is critical in any relationship. With a throuple, communication is even more crucial because it’s easy for one to feel left out, which is exactly what’s happening with Any, Amani, and Matt.

’90 Day Fiancé’s Any Claimed She Loved Amani More

So already Matt was stuck in an awkward position and the situation only seemed to escalate from there. Slowly but surely, Amani is discovering that she is only a “friend” to most people Any knows. The 90 Day Fiancé star tells her family Matt is her boyfriend and Amani is a friend. Aside from close friends and family, it seems like no one knows Any is in a serious relationship and Amani wasn’t happy with the discovery. Amani could understand the issue and discomfort surrounding polamory, but couldn’t understand why Matt was the “boyfriend” in some scenarios and why she was single in others.

Amani confronted Any about the double standards, which led to the women clashing. But the confrontation led to another alerting moment: Any declared that she loved Amani more than Matt. She claimed she was only in the relationship for Amani, and now I’m even more confused. Going off of her actions and Amani’s confessionals, I can see how Any seemed more interested in Matt. So now I’m left wondering the same that Amani is: is Any really in love with Amani or is she trying to maintain the connection with Matt at all costs?

Overall, as I watch more of their stories unfold, I’m having a hard time following along and trusting that these stars have genuine intentions. At first, when Amani and Matt joined the series, I questioned how strong and serious their relationship was. Amani didn’t seem to be that into her marriage with Matt, which made me think they were turning into a throuple so she could explore her desires without interrupting her marriage. Now, seeing more of Any’s interactions, especially with Matt, makes me wonder if perhaps Any wants to explore her connection with him but settled for Amani being in the picture because that’s how their dynamic is. In the end, something feels off about Any’s declaration of love to Amani and I think the stars need to be more transparent before they make any more important big decisions.
