Terrifier 3 saw the glorious return of the Christmas-themed slasher last fall. Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting aren’t ready to stop making blood-red snow anytime as their reboot of the iconic and equally controversial 80s horror film Silent Night, Deadly Night will be coming down the chimney later this year. Fans of the slasher franchise have slowly been getting earlier seasonal treats like a teaser poster last month. Now, this version of Silent Night, Deadly Night has found their Billy in Halloween Ends star Rohan Campbell.
First reported by Bloody Disgusting, the reimagining is “blending psychological horror, brutal slasher thrills and a touch of the supernatural and, shockingly, a sprinkle of romance, the new film hopes to deliver a modern new take on the ultimate holiday nightmare.” Silent Night, Deadly Night is written and directed by Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn). Original franchise producers Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead also return to produce the project.
