Stephen Amell Puts Out the Bat Signal in New ‘Suits LA’ Episode 9 Promo

Even Batman needs Robin sometimes, and Ted Black (Stephen Amell) could use Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) right about now. An all-new episode of Suits LA debuts on NBC next Sunday, April 20 at 9 p.m. ET. The show has built Ted and Harvey’s relationship in the past timeline, but this episode’s logline teases Macht’s return in the present timeline as he and Ted revisit their past. “Ted and Harvey team up to right a wrong from their past and put a monster behind bars. Stuart (Josh McDermitt) confronts the possibility he may have unwittingly helped a client commit a crime,” reads the logline for Suits LA Season 1, Episode 9, “Bat Signal.” NBC released a sneak peek of an episode, teasing the reunion between the men.
Ted has taken many risks throughout his career, and while he has always emerged on the other side, that’s not always guaranteed. Risks are the name of the game, and a lawyer who doesn’t take them will forever remain mediocre. However, not all risks are worth taking since they might worsen things. Characters take risks in the video below, and the consequences might be dire. For example, Ted is in deep with organized crime, and they don’t play around. Meanwhile, Rick (Bryan Greenberg) and Erica (Lex Scott Davis) rekindle their relationship. Elsewhere, Stuart is reeling from the fact that a client might have used him to commit a crime, and he decides to get to the bottom of the issue. These risky actions could end in tragedy, but Ted has a lifeline in Harvey. Will he swallow his pride and send out the signal asking for help?
‘Suits LA’ Continues to Grow
The Suits offshoot, inspired by the flagship series’ popularity, was not met with the same acclaim. Suits LA got off to a rough start ratings-wise, but as the weeks marched on, the show found its footing. Much of that can be attributed to an improving narrative, but there’s also the issue of guest arcs from actors who starred in the 2011 series. Macht has made numerous appearances to get the show off the ground, and it seems to be working. Episodes featuring Macht have given the legal drama some boost. It would seem Greenberg knew what he was talking about when he asked the viewers to “just give us some time,” adding, “That’s all I’m asking of the audience. Let us settle in. The audience is starting to understand that we are doing something different. I think we, as actors, are starting to fall into our roles. I think the writers are doing the same. I think we’re finding it and it’s great.” Whether the upward trajectory continues remains to be seen.
Tune in to NBC on Sundays to catch new episodes of Suits LA and see how everything plays out.
