This Breakout Star of ‘Love on the Spectrum’ Is Already Stealing Hearts

It’s safe to say that Love on the Spectrum is the feel-good Netflix series that is destined to bring happy tears. Through the first two seasons, fans have watched and fallen in love with the cast, who have fallen in love in their own worlds. Whether it’s the blossoming romance of Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman, celebrating three years together, or Connor Tomlinson finding the confidence to enter a relationship, the stories fans have watched have made season 3 special.
But there is one new cast member who has emerged as the breakout star: Madison Marilla. As one of the new stars of the season, Madison has a love for her American Girls dolls, making beaded jewelry, and country music. For many of the participants on the series, this is not only their first foray into the world of dating, but it’s their first chance to find love. Madison came in with an open heart and an open mind. She met Tyler, and well, as they say, the rest is history.
A Star Was Born During ‘Love on the Spectrum’ Season
Inspired by the Australian series of the same name, Love on the Spectrum follows various participants on the autism spectrum as they navigate the dating world. Like anyone else, they face heartbreak and heartache, and eventually embrace love fully. During the first season, it was our first foray into meeting the core cast. By Season 2, some of our favorites returned alongside new faces. Season 3 used the same formula. While it may be a bit harder to emerge as we continue to watch our favorites, Madison managed to capture our hearts by sharing hers.

Madison came onto the show sharing that she lives on her own with her vast collections. With more than three dozen American Girls dolls, perfectly organized beads to make jewelry, and a love for Disney and country music, Madison was absolutely lovable. With an eager smile at every turn, we were excited to see how her journey would turn out. Some participants go through speed dating, blind dates, and a series of set-ups. For Madison, she found the one quite quickly. Madison and Tyler White hit it off and made an instant connection.
Dare we say it was love at first sight? It’s not surprising that Madison was taken by Tyler’s charm. Throughout the season, we watched as they realized just how similar they were. Maybe it was being enamored with the idea of finding love, but they couldn’t be more perfectly matched. Everything they liked simply aligned. Their ability to maintain a conversation through their mutual loves got us excited to see where this romance might go. There was no way that it wouldn’t work out. She was his cowboy sweetheart!
Madison Epitomizes ‘Love on the Spectrum’
In the span of seven episodes, Madison found love, received her first kiss, and is now embarking on more dates with Tyler, her boyfriend, officially. Madison’s story is one of optimism and hope. Madison lives on her own with her collections. She is eager to try new things while finding perfect common ground with Tyler. Throughout their dates, Madison was the epitome of positivity. She was fully aware of the risk of dating and how it may not work out, but her pragmatic spirit epitomizes the mission of the program.
With each new season, finding a way to break through among the exceptional cast of participants can be hard. We want to know what’s happening with our favorites, but now we are even more eager to see what’s next for Madison. Luckily, they are still going strong! They are madly and deeply in love, having gone on dates since filming ended. Like Abbey during Season 1, Madison completed the full relationship arc in a single season. This chapter became the central story because Madison was an exceptional character to watch. Season 3 may be over, but we can’t wait to see what’s next when we eventually get Season 4!
