Netflix’s The Glass Dome Season 2 Gets Promising Update From Showrunner

With The Glass Dome proving to be the latest international hit on Netflix, showrunner Camilla Läckberg has come out to provide an encouraging update regarding Season 2. The Swedish series follows a criminologist who joins hands with her former police chief partner to investigate the case of a missing girl in a town where she was once abducted herself. Given that the show is drawing in much praise from audiences and critics alike, viewers have expressed curiosity regarding the release of its sophomore installment. However, if Läckberg’s recent comments are anything to go by, fans might not have to wait too long for The Glass Dome Season 2.
The Glass Dome creator Camilla Läckberg says she already has a ‘synopsis for Season 2’
In a recent discussion, the Swedish crime writer noted that she always approaches TV shows with a mindset of eventually expanding the storyline past the first season. As such, she already has plans for the follow-up edition of The Glass Dome.
While speaking with Swedish media outlet FilmTopp about The Glass Dome Season 2, Camilla Läckberg explained, “I always think when I create a TV series that there will be more seasons. Then you have to see if there is interest from the channel and so on. But in my mind, when I am creatively working on this, I always think about some kind of continuation.”
Pointing out the merits of her methodology, Läckberg stated that drawing out the overaching plot of a series prevents the show from dropping off in quality after its first season. “I hate when you have a really great idea for a season, but then you want more seasons and they’re just like, “shit, how are we going to solve this?” Lost is probably the best example of that, Prison Break too,” The Ice Princess author said.
Camille Läckberg then revealed the progress on The Glass Dome Season 2, stating, “I already have a synopsis for season two. I definitely have thoughts on how this can continue.” However, despite her encouraging updates, Netflix has yet to confirm an official release schedule for the show’s Season 2.
