Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson has entered negotiations to join the cast of Amazon MGM Studios‘ forthcoming heist movie titled, How to Rob a Bank. The project hails from John Wick and Bullet Train director David Leitch.

Davidson most recently starred in the crime dark comedy movie Riff Raff, and action-adventure animated movie Dog Man. Should his deal to star in How to Rob a Bank get finalized, this would mark his latest collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, which he is also working together with on the upciming Eddie Murphy action comedy The Pickup. He will next be seen in the comedy movie Wizards! with Naomi Scott and Orlando Bloom.

Who is involved in How to Rob a Bank?

How to Rob a Bank will be directed by Leitch from a screenplay written by Mark Bianculli. The ensemble cast will be led by X-Men alum Nicholas Hoult, who will next be seen playing a new iteration of Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s Superman movie. The project is being produced by Leitch and Kelly McCormick through their 87North production banner. It hails from producers Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody and Allan Mandelbaum of Imagine Entertainment, with Bianculli also serving as an executive producer.

When the project was first revealed last February, it was revealed that the story will reportedly revolve around “a group of savvy bank robbers who use social media to document their heists, playing a cat-and-mouse game with police.” At the moment, the project has no official release date attached to it yet.

Besides the heist movie, Leitch is also currently attached to direct Andrew Garfield in the upcoming miniseries Hot Air. Last January, it was also revealed that Leitch was in negotiations to direct Warner Bros.’ Ocean’s 14.
