Fans Are So Disappointed In New Manhwa Anime Adaptation, They Decided To Animate It Themselves, And The Result Is Impressive

The Beginning After The End‘s anime has had some turbulence trying to land among fans of the original manhwa, with many stating that the animation isn’t doing the work any justice, depicting slideshow scenes or moving stills to replicate movement. With each new episode released, fans have resorted to petitioning for a new anime entirely or have gone quiet, hoping the show will miraculously get better in the later installments. One creator, however, decided to take it into their own hands to revise a scene from the early chapters to prove just what could be done in an hour.
The author of The Beginning After The End, TurtleMe, couldn’t have predicted the widespread backlash the anime would have after carefully picking out the studio himself. The creator stated in a recent address to his audience that it was because he wanted to have some control over how his manhwa’s story is represented and believed that a smaller studio would allow just that. While most of his fans understood where he was coming from, a large majority believe that after following TBATE for so long, it deserved better animation than what was provided.

And The Results Are Stunning For Being Made in Only an Hour
Whether for kicks or giggles, TikTok user mrnavvy decided to take it into their own hands to show just how well animation can be done if given the time and dedication. One of the iconic scenes in the early chapters of The Beginning After The End is when Arthur unlocks his potential to use magic, after studying the magic system in the new world he found himself in. After making significant headway, completing this task not only earned him a high tier of magic but also utterly destroyed his surroundings, including the small cottage his family resided in.

Solo Leveling Season 2 has come to its end. With fans looking for another hit manhwa adaptation, will The Beginning After the End live up to the hype?
Although only a short clip, it depicts a far better understanding of how to keep the added animated visuals coherent with the original artwork, but dynamic enough to stand out and give it the recognition it deserved as a massive achievement for the main character. Compared to the anime, it stands out as more compelling despite it only being animated from a still frame from the manhwa, and while not animated from the ground up like A-Cat Studios, it still displays some fun visuals that work better for The Beginning After The End rather than the CGI effects in the current show.

While Supportive, Fans Have Seen Successful Manhwa Adaptations
The Beginning After The End‘s manhwa already had a beautiful and well-rendered art style, but perhaps for the sake of having an easier time animating, the anime simplified the visuals to focus on other aspects of the show. The latest episode has demonstrated how much time went into the Sylvie models, which are visually impressive, but still lack the dynamic motion and camerawork that could have made this anime stand out.
With successes like Solo Leveling to compare to, fans are aware that picking the right studio can do wonders for a manhwa’s adaptation. And with anime’s growing popularity among the mainstream, having stories based in other countries like Korea and China can do wonders for expanding the market with new innovative ideas, but only if they are done with the time and respect they deserve.
