Lucasfilm Unveils Full Slate for Stories From a Galaxy Far, Far Away… Publishing Panel at Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars Celebration has officially begun, and in keeping with the theme from previous years, there’s more to be excited about beyond movies and TV shows. The biggest Star Wars event of the year will bring together people from around the globe from one of the most passionate corners of the fanbase, the novels. Collider’s own Maggie Lovitt moderated the panel, Stories From a Galaxy Far, Far Away…., at the event in Japan, which introduced 10 new books for Star Wars fans to get excited about. Many of these books will go on sale later this year, but a few will be available in the coming days, with one also going up for purchase earlier this week. ‘Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III — The Battle of Eriadu’
This book, which comes from author Alyssa Wong and Dark Horse Publishing, retails for only $5.99 and will go on sale on April 30. It follows two estranged friends who find themselves on opposite sides of The Battle of Eriadu. Jedi Padawan Gavi fights for both light and life, while Driggit Parse stands with the evil Warden. When the two finally reunite after Driggit’s betrayal, it’s on the front lines of the war. Pre-order the book here.
‘Star Wars: The High Republic: Trials of the Jedi’
From Random House Worlds, The High Republic: Trials of the Jedi retails for $30, and it will be released on June 17 later this year. This is the epic conclusion to the Star Wars: The High Republic storyline that will follow the Jedi as they face a final confrontation against Nihil and Marchion Ro. To finish the war, the Jedi must solve the mystery of the Nameless creatures who feed on the Force. Ro has set them loose upon the galaxy to strike fear into the Jedi, who are also fighting to free worlds from Nihil control. Purchase the book here.

‘Star Wars: The High Republic: Fear the Jedi — The Finale #1: Beacon’
Written by Cavan Scott with art from Marika Cresta, cover art from Phil Noto and Ario Anindito, this Marvel Comics book retails for only $5.99, and it goes on sale on July 30. No details are known about the book at this time, but preview images can be found above.
‘The Acolyte: The Crystal Crown’
Disney Lucasfilm Press presents The Acolyte: The Crystal Crown; the new book goes on sale on July 29 later this year and retails for $18.99. The book tells a new story following fan-favorite Padawans Jecki (Dafne Keen) and Yord (Charlie Barnett) as they are drawn into a planet-wide coming-of-age ritual as featured guests. However, things take an unexpectedly deadly turn that forces them to work together to keep themselves and their new friends safe. The Acolyte: Crystal Crown can be purchased here.
‘The Art of Star Wars: Andor (The Complete Series)’
Coming in March 2026 is a complete and comprehensive art book of Andor, the Rogue One prequel series starring Diego Luna. The Abrams Publishing book was written by Phil Szostak and retails for $50. It will take fans behind the scenes of the critically acclaimed Disney+ series set in the early days of the Rebellion. The book even features interviews with creator Tony Gilroy and key crew and creatives to help give an in-depth look at every part of the process that helped bring this series to life.
‘Industrial Light & Magic (ILM): 50 Years of Innovation’
Another book from publisher Abrams and author Ian Failes, this new celebration of the first 50 years of ILM does not yet have a retail price and will be released on November 11, 2025. It is described as the official decade-by-decade visual retrospective of the legendary visual effects house, which was founded by Star Wars creator George Lucas in 1975. This book was announced on the same day that Light & Magic, the Disney+ series, returned to Disney+ with Season 2. It also features stunning visuals and analysis of the creative and technical processes and their evolution over the years.
‘Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories: Codebreaker’
From author Ethan Sacks and Dark Horse Publishing comes Hyperspace Stories: Codebreaker. The comics will be released on April 23, retailing for $4.99. One follows the legendary Poe Dameron, who is portrayed by Oscar Isaac in the sequel trilogy. When Poe and his droid companion BB-8 are sent to investigate a piece of First Order tech used to decode Resistance messages, they find an infamous TIE fighter pilot who stands in their way. This new four-issue series celebrates the 10th anniversary of The Force Awakens. The Codebreaker comics can be purchased here.
‘Star Wars: Legacy of Vader’
This latest issue in this Kylo Ren series from Marvel Comics retails for only $3.99 and is now available for purchase. It will also feature a character design for a new character who will appear for the first time in Issue #8, Tava Ren, a new Knight of Ren who will square off against Kylo. Issue #3 follows Kyle Ren, now imprisoned on Tatooine by Gardulla the Hutt. The young tyrant must struggle to survive the harsh conditions of his grandfather, Darth Vader’s home world. ‘Star Wars: Jedi Knights’
The eighth issue of Star Wars: Jedi Knights from Marvel Comics retails for $3.99, but it still lacks an official release date. Details about the book have not yet been made public.
