Over the weeks, I watched Jasmine post several Instagram Stories about her choice to have a natural birth. On April 16, Jasmine even posted a photo taken just before going into labor. The picture depicted her embracing Matt while a nurse rubbed her back. Jasmine wrote, “with no family by my side except from my daughter’s father. I made up my mind to have an unmedicated, natural birth.” She commended herself for enduring the pain, noting, “I endured 5 hours of pain during labor.” Jasmine dubbed herself as “the most powerful woman ever” and included the hashtags “#naturalbirth” and “#noepiduralneeded.”

While I’m happy that Jasmine had a healthy pregnancy and chose natural childbirth, I’m also somewhat surprised by how she is emphasizing it on social media.
Many 90 Day Fiancé fans have criticized Jasmine for being hypocritical, noting that it is inconsistent for her to celebrate natural childbirth while having previously promoted plastic surgeries and cosmetic procedures. I recently came across a Reddit post by cheetoo24, where fans ridiculed Jasmine for her emphasis on natural childbirth.
A top commenter wrote, “It’s the hypocrisy of being filled with plastic and nursing your baby with silicone b**bs, which is unhealthy, and unnatural, but bragging about giving birth without medication.”
I saw more than a dozen similar comments from fans pointing out Jasmine’s hypocrisy. I would agree with those comments to some extent, as they highlight a deeply ingrained flaw in Jasmine’s mentality. On the one hand, Jasmine has always supported plastic surgery and hasn’t been afraid to undergo medical procedures that alter her natural physical appearance. On the other hand, she has bragged about her natural childbirth, making it seem like she is better than mothers who can’t go through natural childbirth for various reasons.

It seems like Jasmine is using her birthing experience to change how she is perceived on social media. She wants to present herself as a confident social media influencer.

Personally, I believe that these types of posts only make Jasmine seem more desperate for public approval. If the 90 Day: The Last Resort cast member truly wants to connect with her fans, she should be genuine and avoid making hypocritical or self-centered statements.
