Bosch: Legacy concluded with its third and final season in 2025, and here’s all the details about Harry’s last hurrah. Based on the character created by author Michael Connelly, Harry Bosch is a hardened LAPD detective who debuted in 2014’s Bosch as played by Titus Welliver. After seven seasons of the original series, Bosch: Legacy picks up where Bosch left off when it concluded in 2021, and the fact that it was renewed for season 3 before season 2 began speaks volumes about how well it’s carried the legacy of the original show.

Bosch: Legacy finds Harry Bosch leaving behind his life in the LAPD to work as a private detective for his former foe, hot-shot attorney Honey Chandler. He is also dealing with his daughter Maddie pursuing her career as a rookie in the LAPD. Bosch: Legacy premiered on October 20, 2023, on Prime Video and Freevee, and the show’s popularity ensured it would continue beyond its second chapter. Finally, Bosch: Legacy season 3 arrived to close out the long-running series, though it isn’t the end of its title character.

Along with the announcement of the show’s March 2025 release date, Prime Video released the first teaser trailer for Bosch: Legacy season 3 in January. The trailer highlights Bosch’s lengthy run on the small screen, and features clips of the original series as well as new scenes from Legacy. Though it’s planned as Bosch’s last ride, the Kurt Dockweiler murder investigation will clearly take the grizzled detective on his wildest ride yet.

With only a short time to go until the final season’s premiere, Prime Video dropped the full trailer for Bosch: Legacy season 3. Harry’s last case is set to be something of a reckoning as Maddie begins to dig into her father’s sordid history during the war and afterward. Harry is hellbent on getting justice for Maddie’s kidnapping, and he’s willing to bring out some of the darkness within him to exact his revenge. He also gets involved with a cartel kidnapping that takes him south of ther border on what could be his most dangerous mission.

The cancelation of Bosch: Legacy was somewhat swift and shocking, and the finale of season 3 wasn’t quite the definitive “sunset” ending that many other legacy series receive. While the last episode did wrap up the specifics of season 3’s main case, it specifically tip-toed around conclusiveness, and left the door wide open for Harry to return if the opportunity arises. That opportunity has already presented itself in the form of the spinoff, Ballard, which stars Maggie Q in the title role.
