Christina Haack’s Tricks are Old

Whether her plan was to become an HGTV namesake or not, Christina Haack has been a staple in the world of home flipping and design since 2013. First alongside Tarek El Moussa, her first husband, on Flip or Flop, and then onto her own series, Christina on the Coast, Christina Haack has used her expertise to help viewers bring her style into their own homes. Yet, beyond being a television personality, being a public figure has opened up her life to scrutiny. With viewers and fans able to identify the commonalities, Christina Haack’s life has always been a subject of discussion.
When it comes to Christina Haack, she is a creature of habit. Whether it’s jumping into relationships and marriages, having very public divorces, or using the same old tricks when she designs, Christina Haack loves familiarity. And that’s ok. We all have that inherent quality within us. But many of her old habits are not the best. Thankfully, since her very public divorce from Josh Hall, Christina Haack has been able to acknowledge her faults and flaws and grow. That is a major step! Now, it’s time to embrace the change and kick the old tricks to the curb.
Christina Haack Needs To Go Bold
Let’s begin with her habits in the world of design. Every single HGTV designer has their signature style. Joanna Gaines essentially introduced the world to their obsession with modern farmhouse. If you enter someone’s home, and you see a barn door or ship lap, you can bet your bottom dollar they watched an episode of Fixer Upper. Erin Napier is the queen of “Grandmillenial Style” on Home Town. For Christina Haack, it’s all about neutrals. With her background as a flipper, it’s a common trend to keep a neutral palette in a home you’re renovating and designing, as it has a larger appeal to a broader client base. If you examine her portfolio from The Flip Off, the home she flipped utilized this concept, almost to a fault.
With so much change in her life, it’s time to take a bold step in her designs. Go bold! We would love to see her maintain her neutral claim to fame and introduce some more pops of color. Sure, we’ve seen her play around with a dark blue or black moment, but let’s see some teals or yellows or pinks! Perhaps the solution to helping her find that spark is working with Jeff Lewis. The duo has teased a future collaboration, possibly even for a second season of The Flip Off. Perhaps he might help her embrace that bold side. We know that personality-wise, he can bring out that characteristic, but let’s see if it extends to her already exceptional and crisp design process.

Christina Haack Is Growing
Now let’s talk about Christina Haack and those headlines. While the majority of her life has been publicized, Christina has been fortunate to squander the questions through important discussions and clarification during Season 1 of The Flip Off. Through her heartfelt conversation with Tarek about their past to seeing the growth in her relationship with her second husband, Ant Anstead, Christina Haack has been taking the important steps to acknowledge her issues and directly take action. Acknowledgment is the first step to growth!
Now, that’s not to say we agree with everything. We’ve suggested a more private life, keeping her personal life off of social media, but she has not heeded our advice. And that’s ok. We’d celebrate love if we were with a perfect guy, too! At this point, one might question Christina Haack for falling into another relationship, but love knows no bounds. She can’t help herself! Her newfound relationship with Christopher Larocca has been nothing but promising thus far. She’s in her “self-growth” era. In a recent post on Instagram, she acknowledged that she is an anxious-attachment. She has co-dependency issues. And now, with a new man in her life, he has helped her better herself. She wrote, “As someone who recently discovered I have anxious-attachment (not sure what took me so long 🤪) and for sure a history of co-dependency issues .. things can be challenging and by ‘things’ I mean ‘me.’ Meeting an unexpected good man who has his own amazing career, life & hobbies (who also happens to have zero jealousy) can at times feel strange for someone who has had the opposite.. At 41 I’m finally learning about safe communication, independence during commitment and a relationship that is NOT 0-100. I am for sure guilty of putting pressure on others . Facing my own insecurities has forced me into doing the shadow work I’ve been avoiding..it’s time to break the cycle.”
The post made clear that she acknowledges some of her past issues are her own. She has insecurities that she has avoided, but she’s on the path to address them. As fans of Christina Haack, watching her life cascade into darkness following her separation from Josh Hall has been hard. The headlines don’t help. But now, with Haack taking accountability and the right steps in her new relationship, maybe this one will be the one that makes it through the hard times. Either way, this post is what we’ve been waiting for from Christina Haack. It’s a massive upswing for her character. We want to see her happy, and it all starts at home. This is a great journey for the HGTV star, one that we are excited to be a part of. No more old tricks, please!
