Who Is Lori Romero? Ransom Canyon Season 1’s Dedication Explained

Lori Romero is given a special dedication in Netflix’s Western drama series Ransom Canyon. Since debuting on Netflix on Thursday, April 17, 2025, Ransom Canyon has been the number one most-watched series on the streaming platform. Even though the reviews for Ransom Canyon are mixed, resulting in a Rotten Tomatoes score of 54%, the popularity of Ransom Canyon is undeniable. It’s based on the book series by Jodi Thomas, which has spawned eight novels, including two prequels.
Although Ransom Canyon season 2 has yet to be confirmed by Netflix, the shocking twist ending of Ransom Canyon set up several loose ends and new questions that must be answered. Ransom Canyon’s cast is one of the strongest aspects of the new Netflix series, as well as a blending of genres such as romance, murder mystery, and even action/adventure. If Ransom Canyon does get renewed for a second season, it will unfortunately have to go on without Romero, who was a key part of the production team.
