What happens in the new Alien: Earth teaser trailers?
The first Alien: Earth teaser trailer shows the first phase of a xenomorph’s gestation. The video is the first entry in a new series being debuted by IGN leading up to Alien Day, which is on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The second Alien: Earth teaser trailer is in celebration of Earth Day. “Together, we can discover the wonder of our planet before it’s too late,” the voiceover says before a deadly xenomorph then appears.
“When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth from creator Noah Hawley,” the official synopsis for the show reads.
In addition to Chandler, the cast of Alien: Earth includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.
Hawley is known for creating Fargo and Legion for FX. He also wrote a handful of Bones episodes, along with the script for 2006’s The Alibi. Hawley made his feature film directorial debut in 2019 with Lucy in the Sky starring Natalie Portman and Jon Hamm.
Alien: Earth will premiere on Hulu this summer, though an exact release date has not yet been announced.
