While Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 may have just ended its run on Disney+, executive producer and series writer Dario Scardapane has already revealed an interesting tidbit about Matt Murdoch’s relationship with Heather Glenn in Season 2. Heather, played by Margarita Levieva, is one of many new characters introduced in the first season of Daredevil’s revival series. From the very first episode, the show manages to establish a romantic dynamic between the titular hero and the New York-based therapist.

However, their opposing views on the topic of masked vigilantes ultimately create a rift between the couple, leading Glenn to join hands with the villainous Wilson Fisk. As per Scardapane’s latest statements, the conflict between Matt and Heather should culminate in their breakup in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

Dario Scardapane reveals Matt and Heather break up in Daredevil: Born Again

In a recent discussion, the seasoned producer and screenwriter seemed to inadvertently disclose that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdoch and Margarita Levieva’s Heather Glenn will part ways in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

While speaking with TV Insider, Scardapane shed light on how the arcs of all the newly-introduced characters could pan out in the show’s second season. As he explained the circumstances of Michael Gandolfini’s Daniel Blake and Genneya Walton’s BB, Scardapane casually noted how Glenn would be “an ex of Matt” in Season 2. He stated, “You have an ex of Matt, Heather [Margarita Levieva], who’s now the mental health czar for this [administration].”

As such, fans can expect Matt and Heather to have a fallout in the early episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. With Deborah Ann Woll confirmed to be reprising her role as Karen Page, Murdoch’s love life could take an interesting turn in Season 2. While Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has yet to receive an official release date, Scardapane has already confirmed that the follow-up season will premiere sometime in March 2026.
