Wait, Is Kim Dating Again? After ‘The Kardashians’ Season 6 Finale, We Certainly Think So

Kim Kardashian’s love life has always been one of the hottest topics about her – from her whirlwind romances to high-profile divorces, it’s hard to separate her brand from her relationships. She’s been married three times, starting with her teenage elopement to music producer Damon Thomas, which she claims turned abusive before divorcing in 2004. Kim then infamously married NFL star Kris Humphries in a televised ceremony that reportedly cost $10 million. What’s more shocking, however, is when their union only lasted 72 days before Kim filed for divorce, even though it took years of negotiating to finalize.
Kim was already pregnant with her first of four children with Kanye West when her divorce from Kris was granted. Kim and Kanye were married for nearly seven years, and their heavily criticized relationship played out both on-screen and online. They finalized their divorce in 2022 despite Kanye’s attempts to win her back and thwart her new romantic connections. At one point, Ye released a disturbing video showing a Claymation version of himself burying her then-boyfriend Pete Davidson alive. No one was surprised when Kim and Pete called it quits shortly after. Dating in the public eye clearly hasn’t been easy for Kim, which may explain why she’s more cautious now. Season 6 of The Kardashians just concluded, and there were multiple instances where Kim seemed to hint she was seeing someone new, even if she didn’t outright say it, leaving viewers on edge for the next season.
Was Kim Teasing a Secret Romance All Season?
Kim is a mastermind at playing things up for the camera. Truthfully, the whole Kardashian-Jenner family is. But her behavior in Season 6 seemed more suspicious than usual. In several scenes, it felt like she was gearing up to introduce a mystery man – or at least test how the audience would react to her dating again.
In the trailer, for example, Kim took back previous comments she made about wanting to stay single and focus on herself and her kids. Speaking to a producer, the SKIMS founder said she wanted to shed her single status.
“I was fully lying to you guys. Me, not dating, and not wanting love and attention? I don’t think you know me,” Kim said.
It gave fans a reason to tune in and continue watching for more details about Kim’s love life from the start to the end of Season 6. Her storyline suddenly felt like it was building toward something… or someone. Throughout the season, Kim was noticeably gigglier in confessionals, and made vague comments about “talking to someone.” She also seemed more secretive about her phone and texts, something the cameras subtly picked up on. These small (and easily missed) moments felt like little breadcrumbs for viewers who kept expecting more.

We’ve never seen nor heard about her sister until now….
There were also times when it felt like she was trying to manifest a new love interest and lay the groundwork for viewers to accept the idea of her being in love again – which could take some getting used to, especially if she chooses to romance someone with a history as controversial as Kanye. In one telling scene, Kim was speculating about her future engagement ring, and framing it as a “will happen” not a “will it” question. “I wonder what my next ring shape will be?” Kim asked.
Similarly, in another scene, she admits to her mom Kris Jenner that she’s remodeling her closet and putting specific “his” and “hers” sections – which seems like a weird thing to do if you don’t have anyone in your life. “I won’t be open to having a partner if I don’t build it,” she explained, before making a Field of Dreams reference. “If you build it, he will come.”
Kim tells the camera this while admitting to pouring millions of dollars into renovating the massive family home she once shared with Kanye (and spent a fortune making it into a minimalist fortress that her kids now poke fun of). Maybe Kim was hiding someone after all, or she really just believes in the power of manifestation… And wants to make sure that, when she does bring someone home, it’s not to the same space she once shared with Kanye.
Kim Speaks Out To Producers Over Dating
Kim did explicitly deny when producers asked if there was someone in her life, saying, “There’s not a him.” Kris also helped reinforce this, saying that Kim hopes to find a lasting relationship and is doing everything in her power to manifest it. “I think she’s looking for true love,” Kris said in a confessional. “She’s the best version of Kim when she’s in love.”
“She’s gonna be married to the love of her life,” Kris continued. “She just hasn’t met him yet.”
As the season went on, anticipation built and there was some speculation that Kim was on the verge of revealing a new boyfriend ahead of the finale, especially given how coy she was about her personal life. That would’ve made for a good conclusion — and we all know The Kardashians need more interesting content if they want to stay alive on Hulu. But that moment came and went, and Kim hasn’t confirmed or denied anything. She even made it clear that fans were just going to have to wait.
“You’ll have to tune into next season,” Kim teased. “I think I’ve said a few times like I manifest like a [expletive].” In any case, Kim has mastered the art of telling without telling. She’s forcing fans to read between the lines, and in this case, wait for next season to get details on Kim’s personal life. Or at least until she decides to post about it on social media, since it feels like everything always makes headlines before the show films about it.
Is Kim Manifesting a Boyfriend… or Soft Launching One?
Even if Kim hasn’t gone Instagram official with anyone – or should we say reality TV official – it’s clear from this season that she wants to be in a relationship. And that shouldn’t take anyone by surprise. Despite times post-divorce when she said she was going to stay single for the moment, Kim has also said she remains open to getting married again if she meets the right person. Based on her behavior this season, it seems like those feelings have only intensified.
Though Kim may not have confirmed anything, the rumors are telling. Reports have been circulating for months that Kim is dating someone – she just doesn’t want the world to know yet. So, maybe she was trying to test the waters and also increase the hype this past season fully knowing she wasn’t ready to introduce her mystery man to the public.

The estranged ex-couple still has some baggage.
This would align with a report made in December, when a source told Us Weekly that Kim had started seeing someone but was committed to keeping it private. “[She] has started dating someone new” and is “keeping it very under wraps,” the insider said.
They also hinted this may be because her new beau doesn’t have the same celebrity status. “She’s said the next person she dates will be someone who isn’t famous,” they continued.
They also said that part of Kim’s decision to keep it low key is so she can focus on her various ventures – she’s continuing to pursue her law degree while maintaining her various businesses, like SKIMS, and is starring in Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama All’s Fair.
Nevertheless, these reports have continued, suggesting she is dating someone behind the scenes and just isn’t ready to reveal it to the public. Last month, a report from Daily Mail claimed she had a secret boyfriend, so it could be the same relationship that was being teased at the end of last year (when filming for the most recent season of The Kardashians would’ve taken place).
This, in addition to Kim’s coyness in Season 6, feels like a shift from the Kim we’ve seen in past seasons. Even in her Pete Davidson era – one of her most recent relationships – she wasn’t afraid to flaunt it in front of the cameras. But that obviously backfired and made their eventual breakup more complicated since it all played out in front of the world. Now, her approach seems more subtle – possibly because she’s learned that attention can sabotage a new relationship before it even heats up.
Should Kim Keep a New Relationship Off Camera?
Whether or not she’s hiding a new relationship or just desperately manifesting some action in her love life remains up for debate. But there are plenty of reasons Kim would want to keep her dating life private this time.
It’s well known that The Kardashians has been facing declining ratings for some time. There have been some fans who believe the family is withholding major moments to boost future interest, yet that didn’t play out in the season finale. Viewers were left with lackluster plotlines and wanting more While a new relationship would have been the perfect plot twist, it’s also a risk.
For now, it doesn’t seem like Kim is interested in using her love life for clout. Unlike her more performative moments while dating Pete, this time, she seems more focused on protecting her personal life. She probably learned a lot from the Pete vs. Kanye drama. And she likely wants more privacy not just for herself but for her children. Honestly, this decision sounds like the healthiest move for her and her family.
Other family members are doing the same – refusing to allow certain things to be filmed or discussed for the camera even if it would be good for ratings. There was a report that said Kris was trying to pressure Kylie Jenner to bring her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet on The Kardashians. The couple are barely seen in public together, and have never discussed their relationship on reality TV, so it would definitely draw in the headlines the show needs. But it seems Kylie shot the idea down, as Timothée is keeping his distance from the Hulu show – and it appears Kim is doing the same thing by keeping her love life on the down low (at least for now).
Reality TV is a pressure cooker, and what it’s cooking is drama. Introducing a new partner to the spotlight too soon could damage the relationship. And who knows – that could be what Kim blames for the dissolution of her high-profile relationship to Pete, which was her longest relationship to date since divorcing Kanye. If Kim is dating someone, she may be doing the smart thing by keeping them off the cameras – at least for now.
There’s still a chance she isn’t dating someone and this is just part of her manifestation journey – heck, maybe she has to stretch that out just to ensure she has some content to film. Whether she’s soft-launching a new man or simply setting the stage for one, Kim clearly has relationships on the brain. And you can bet we’ll be tuning into Season 7 to get the full details (even if The Kardashians reality show isn’t what it used to be).
