House of the Dragon Season 3 Cast Adds 3 Actors to Game of Thrones Prequel

HBO has added three new actors to the upcoming House of the Dragon Season 3, rounding out even more of the new season of the Game of Thrones prequel show.

Who has joined the House of the Dragon Season 3 cast?

According to a new report from Variety, Tom Cullen (The Gold), Joplin Sibtain (Andor), and Barry Sloane (Sandman) have all joined onto the series. The report notes that Cullen will play the role of Ser Luthor Largent, Sibtain will play Ser “Bold” Jon Roxton, and Sloane will play Ser Adrian Redfort.

The trio will join the returning cast of Season 3, which includes Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra, Matt Smith as Daemon, Olivia Cooke as Alicent, Rhys Ifans as Otto, Steve Toussaint as Corlys, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria, Fabien Frankel as Criston Cole, Harry Collett as Jace, Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II, Ewan Mitchell as Aemond, Bethany Antonia as Baela, Phoebe Campbell as Rhaena, Phia Saban as Helaena, Tom Taylor as Cregan Stark, Tom Bennett as Ulf White, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne, and more.

During a recent interview, showrunner Ryan Condal confirmed that production on House of the Dragon Season 3 is expected to begin “in a couple weeks,” as the creative team have completed the scripts for the next installment. In addition, he also teased the introduction of several major new characters, revealing that fans should expect to see “four major events” from the book get adapted into screen.

The prequel chronicles the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens — the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria. The spin-off is created by Martin and showrunner Ryan Condal, who are executive producing alongside Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, Vince Gerardis.
