Ryan Reynolds did not mention Blake Lively at Time100 summit

At the 2025 TIME100 Summit, Ryan Reynolds took to the stage to discuss his career and business ventures. However, he failed to make any comment about his wife, Blake Lively. This was despite her being named one of TIME’s 100 most influential people just the day before. Reynolds talked about his production company, Maximum Effort, and the various business initiatives he runs with Lively. However, he avoided mentioning her directly during the conversation. His decision not to mention his wife raised questions, especially given their joint business ventures. 

This came during a year of personal challenges for Lively, including a legal battle with her co-star from It Ends With Us, Justin Baldoni. When asked about how negative media coverage has affected him, Reynolds diverted the conversation. The actor spoke about the importance of storytelling and how his businesses aim to bring people together in unexpected ways.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Lively took to social media to express gratitude for being included in TIME’s influential list. Steering clear of her legal battle, the Gossip Girl actor reflected on the significance of being part of a prestigious group.  She wrote in her Instagram stories, “Thank you for the honor. I’m able to see this moment, almost looking back from the future, or looking ahead from childhood, and from every time period, I can see how profound this is to me.”
