Music producer Benny Blanco never runs out of thoughtful gestures when it comes to his fiancée, Selena Gomez. The songwriter arranged an elaborate surprise for the multi-platinum recording artist, organizing a prom-themed celebration at a mall.
Blanco shared an Instagram video, revealing how he arranged the prom-themed event for Gomez. He said, “My fiancée has never been to prom before. So, I asked her if we should take prom photos together at a mall. She said yes!”
Gomez’s beau also rented a limo to escort the “Lose You to Love Me” crooner to the event. Blanco sported a classic black and white suit for his prom photos, while Gomez donned a purple high-low gown. The producer gushed, “It was more fun than either of us expected it to be.”
Selena Gomez’s fans were excited to learn about the special surprise, collectively agreeing that Blanco is a major “green flag.” One delighted fan commented on the Instagram post, “Everyone needs a Benny in their life.” Another chimed in, saying, This is how a healthy relationship looks like.” A third fan posted, “He’s screaming Green Flag.”
Gomez and Blanco got engaged in December 2024. The “Good For You” singer took to Instagram to share the happy news with a carousel, captioning, “Forever begins now.” An excited Blanco commented on the post, writing, “hey wait… that’s my wife.”
To commemorate their special union, Blanco and Gomez also co-wrote an album, I Said I Love You First, which was released on March 21. The album was like a “personal journal” for the pair, Blanco shared in Spotify’s Countdown to vodcast.
Their first joint album was a result of their daily conversation and whatever they were feeling, Gomez shared. She added, “So, we’d get up in the morning and have a conversation. But our conversation was never led going, ‘What are we going to write in the album?’ It was a very, like, ‘This is on my mind’…like ‘How does that make you feel?’ kind of thing.”
