The ongoing storyline in Law & Order: Organized Crime suggests that Jet Slootmaekers, played by Ainsley Seiger, may be leaving the series. Introduced in Season 1, she is a former hacker and an NYPD detective. She was recently involved in cracking a traumatising case and also turned down an FBI-offered full-time job. Bidding her co-workers farewell, she appeared to embark on an unspecified new path. Following this, many are curious to know whether Jet has left the series for good or has a possibility of returning.

Here are all the details.

Is Ainsley Seiger’s Jet leaving Law & Order: Organized Crime and why?

Sieger’s character has left the team in Law & Order: Organized Crime. However, it remains unclear whether the actress has departed the show entirely or will appear in future episodes. Sieger is yet to address her exit.

In Season 5 episode 2, Jet faced a traumatising experience as she and Stabler hunted down a trucker who tortured and killed sex workers. During the chase, she was attacked and horrified. Following the event, she went on a break and hadn’t returned yet. It’s also learnt that Reyes and Jet had parted ways. However, the former still cares about her whereabouts.

Worried about her well-being, Bell heads to Jet’s apartment to check on her. She discovers that Jet is still intensely focused on the case of missing women and murder victims. Trying to assure her, Bell tells her that it’s okay to pursue a new chapter in her career and that she can do what she wants. Moreover, she also rejected a full-time hacker role, offered by the FBI.

She ultimately visits the office and packs up her things. Stabler greets her and reveals that he missed her. They hugged before they headed to meet the other team members for drinks. Jet appears to have stepped down from her position to pursue “her own journey.” Her sudden exit has made her fate unclear on the show. Given her open-ended leave, there is still room for her return in future episodes.
