Amazon MGM Studios has announced The Thomas Crown Affair release date for the upcoming heist movie led by Black Panther’s Michael B. Jordan. The project is described as a reimagining of the Pierce Brosnan-led 1999 movie, which was also remake of the 1969’s acclaimed Steve McQueen film of the same name.

When is The Thomas Crown Affair release date?

Jordan’s version of The Thomas Crown Affair is now officially slated to arrive in theaters on March 5, 2027, pitting it against no direct competition at the box office. However, it is still expected to debut in the same month as other high-profile films including Sonic the Hedgehog 4, the Legend of Zelda movie, and the untitled Godzilla x Kong sequel.

The upcoming heist movie is written by Drew Pearce and Wes Tooke, based on a story by the original movie’s writer Alan Trustman. Besides Jordan, the remake will also be led by Bones & All star Taylor Russell. It is produced by Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo for Outlier Society, along with Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff. Trustman has also signed on as an executive producer.

Jordan will also next be seen in another high-profile horror movie I Am Legend 2, which will see the return of Will Smith’s character from the 2007 post-apocalyptic thriller movie. He is also developing the fourth installment to his boxing drama franchise Creed, which he will once again direct. Jordan also recently signed on as a producer on a new horror project in the form of The House of Last Resort, based on bestselling author Christopher Golden’s 2024 high concept horror novel.
