Eddington & The Phoenician Scheme Runtimes Revealed for Ari Aster, Wes Anderson Movies

Runtimes for two of the most anticipated movies of 2025 have come to light, with both Eddington and The Phoenician Scheme‘s lengths popping up as they begin making the festival rounds.

What are the Eddington and The Phoenician Scheme runtimes?

Both films are set to appear at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival, and as a result, their runtimes have begun making the rounds online via publicists and press releases. According to a collection of World of Reel, Eddington’s runtime is set for 148 minutes, keeping in line with many of Aster’s movies which routinely run about two and half hours.

As for The Phoenician Scheme, Wes Anderson’s next movie will run for 101 minutes, or one hour and 41 minutes. That also tracks along with many of Anderson’s movies, which generally range from about an hour and a half to two hours.

Eddington stars Joaquin Phoenix, Austin Butler, Emma Stone, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Clifton Collins Jr., William Belleau, Cameron Mann, Matt Gomez Hidaka, and Amélie Hoeferle.

“A small-town sheriff (Phoenix) and mayor (Pascal) sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico,” the official synopsis for Eddington reads.

Eddington will be released in United States theaters on July 18, 2025, from A24.

Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Tom Hanks, Riz Ahmed, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend, and Hope Davis also star in the cast of The Phoenician Scheme.

The Phoenician Scheme will receive a limited theatrical release on May 30, 2025, before it then expands nationwide on June 6, 2025.
