Dimitrov and Gonzalez first ignited dating rumors after the latter attended the Madrid Open, alongside Eva Longoria. Footage captured by fans also in attendance, showed the latter along with Longoria and others cheering for and applauding Dimitrov after he secured his 6-3, 6-4 victory over Nicolas Jarry.
In the video, Dimitrov could be seen shaking hands with his supporters, with Longoria patting him on his arm. When he greeted Gonzalez, she bent forward and planted a kiss on his cheek, and patted his back shoulder.
