Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known by her stage name Jiggly Caliente, died on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the age of 44.

Her family confirmed the news through a statement, revealing she passed away “peacefully” at 4:42 a.m. surrounded by loved ones after battling a severe infection.

Earlier that week, her family had shared that Castro-Arabejo experienced “a serious health setback,” which led to hospitalization and the loss of most of her right leg following surgery. “She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the world,” the family wrote.

Born on November 29, 1980, Castro-Arabejo moved from the Philippines to New York during childhood. Jiggly Caliente rose to fame in 2012 by competing on Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, placing eighth. She later returned to the franchise in All Stars Season 6 and served as a judge on Drag Race Philippines for three seasons. She also acted in the series Pose as Veronica Ferocity.

The statement from her family described her as “a luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy.” They added, “Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light.” Michelle Visage wrote, “This world has lost an angel… I love you so much honey.” Fellow drag queens Jujubee and Jackie Cox also posted tributes.

The show’s producers, World of Wonder, said, “Jiggly’s humor, love, and light touched so many in the Drag Race family and beyond.” They requested privacy for her family. Her death follows the earlier losses of other Drag Race stars including Cherry Valentine, The Vivienne, Sahara Davenport, and Chi Chi DeVayne.
