New Horror Trilogy From Smile Producer in the Works, Cast & Plot Details Unveiled

Smile producer Temple Hill Entertainment and Protagonist Pictures are developing a new horror trilogy, with the first installment set to be based on Sam Ripley’s The Rule of Three novel. The story centers around two friends and family death curse. At the moment, the project has no distributor and release date yet.

And with this being the first in the franchise, there are many jaw-dropping twists and turns to come.”
Who is involved in the new horror trilogy from Smile producer?
The Rule of Three movie will be led by JoJo Rabbit star Thomasin McKenzie and Clown in a Cornfield star Katie Douglas, who are set to portray the respective roles of best friends Lizzy and Amy. The film will be directed by James Roday Rodriguez, who co-wrote the screenplay with Todd Harthan. Bowen, Wyck Godfrey and Isaac Klausner are producing for Temple Hill. Executive producers are Bishop, Hal Sadoff, George Berman, James Pugh and George Hamilton.
“Beware, Beware, The Rule of Three, It’s coming for you, like it came for me… Are Amy (Douglas) and her family plagued by a deadly curse? Every three years, death strikes under mysterious circumstances, horrifically killing family members,” reads the synopsis. “It’s almost three years to the day since Amy’s parents’ death, and Amy realises the curse must strike her next. With the help of her best friend Lizzy (McKenzie), the two friends try to cheat Amy’s death and find a way to reverse the curse. But is Amy’s fate already sealed? Bad things always happen in threes, so they say…”
