The Office’s Ed Helms Addresses if Andy Bernard Will Be in Spin-off Show The Paper

The Office’s Ed Helms is opening up about whether or not fans can expect Andy Bernard to return for the new spin-off series, The Paper.
Helms’ Andy Bernard made his official debut in the third season of NBC’s The Office. Helms continued to play the role for the remainder of the series, which ran for nine seasons before concluding in 2013.
Greg Daniels is now working on a spin-off, follow-up series for Peacock titled The Paper. While The Paper will mostly feature a new cast, it’s been reported that Oscar Nuñez will reprise his role as Oscar Martinez in the show.
What did The Office’s Ed Helms say about The Paper?
Speaking with The View, via TV Insider, Helms was asked if fans of the Nard Dog should be anticipating his return in The Paper.
“I have zero intel on that, I’m sorry to say,” Helms said. “And I also don’t know yet if Andy will be making an appearance. I haven’t heard. No one’s called.”
Helms did note that he “hopes” to be part of The Paper.
“I’m just gonna float that energy out there right now,” he commented. “Greg Daniels is making this show. It’s gonna be great. It’s gonna be incredible.”

A Peacock premiere date for The Paper has not yet been announced, while all nine seasons of The Office are currently available to watch on the streaming service.
Helms, meanwhile, is also known for starring in The Hangover movies, while he recently played Bill Walker in 2023’s Family Switch.
