What Did Donald Trump Say About Taylor Swift?

During the White House celebration for the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2025 Super Bowl victory, former President Donald Trump reportedly took a swipe at Taylor Swift. While congratulating the team, he couldn’t help but bring up Swift’s appearance at the game where the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs.
Donald Trump seemingly took a jab at pop superstar Taylor Swift while honoring the Philadelphia Eagles at the White House on April 28, 2025. The Eagles were celebrating their Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, a game that Swift attended to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
“I watched in person. I was there along with Taylor Swift. How did that work out? How did that one work out?” Trump quipped (via E! News). His remarks referenced the Eagles’ dominant 40-22 win over the Chiefs, despite Swift’s presence cheering for Kansas City.
During the game, Trump amplified a video showing Swift being booed by a section of the audience on Truth Social. The clip was captioned, “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed – The world is healing.” (via The Independent)
Although Donald Trump left the game early—reportedly as per his pre-planned schedule—he still managed to be the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl in person. His online activity and public remarks seemingly aimed at reviving his long-standing tensions with Swift, which date back to her political endorsements.
The relationship between President Trump and Swift has grown colder over the years. During the 2024 presidential election, Swift threw her support behind Democratic nominee Kamala Harris shortly after their first presidential debate. Trump responded by calling out Swift’s political leanings. Despite the political jabs, Trump had initially leaned toward supporting the Chiefs.
