In the movie, Hartnett plays Lucas Reyes, a mercenary tasked with tracking down a high-value target known as Ghost. If Reyes can successfully deliver on this assignment, he’s promised his life back. Sounds easy enough: apprehend Ghost safely on a plane. As it turns out, that plane is carrying not only a mercenary and his target, but nearly every country in the Western Hemisphere has a bounty on Ghost’s head, meaning Reyes’ fellow passengers are highly trained assassins with the same mark. All this makes for one deadly ride as Reyes fights his way through countless baddies with the aid of probably underpaid, chainsaw-wielding flight attendants while maintaining that first-class service.

In Fight or Flight, Hartnett finds a blockbuster sweet spot between the nonstop balletic action that the John Wick franchise has made irresistible to audiences and quippy comedy gold, like the ‘80s action heroes of lore in Die Hard, Terminator, and Lethal Weapon.
