Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Andor season 2, episodes 4-6

Andor season 2 episodes 4-6 surprisingly make a major Legends event canon, along with several other exciting Easter eggs, references, and connections to the greater Star Wars galaxy. As the crisis on the planet Ghorman continues to escalate, Imperial agents and Rebels alike are working to make the world a key frontline for deeper reasons than each side could ever know. Within this new arc, the episodes feature some very exciting ties, as well as callbacks to Andor’s first season.

While Andor season 2’s premiere episodes were set in the year 4 BBY, Andor season 2 episodes 4-6 are set a year later in 3 BBY. While it’s been known for some time that the Ghorman Massacre is an event that will finally be seen on-screen in this new Star Wars show, these new episodes have also confirmed that the original Legends version of the event also occurred as a preceding tragedy for the Ghorman people. However, that’s only one of several exciting Easter eggs and references we found in Andor season 2 episodes 4-6.

  • A New Star Wars Language (And Culture) – The planet Ghorman is visited by multiple characters, where it’s revealed that the Ghors have their own language and alphabet, especially created for Andor season 2. It’s also been confirmed that the Ghorman people were heavily inspired by French and Italian revolutionaries during WWII.
  • Tarkin Massacre – In Legends, the Ghorman Massacre was an event where Grand Moff Tarkin landed his cruiser on a crowd of peaceful protesters, killing several innocents. While the Ghorman Massacre and its casualties are now far greater in canon, Andor season 2 episode 4 confirms the “Tarkin Massacre” still happened as a prior tragedy.
  • The Rimma Trade Route – Andor season 2 also confirms that Ghorman is located near the Rimma Trade Route, a major hyperspace route running through several key worlds.
  • Too Much Imperial News (Good Morning Coruscant) – When Syril’s mother starts sharing anti-Ghorman sentiments, he chastises her for watching too much Imperial News (speaking to the Empire’s intentional smear campaign). Later on, the Imperial News channel “Good Morning, Coruscant!” is shown.
  • Classic Star Wars Audio – Multiple classic pieces of Star Wars audio can be heard. There are sounds of Coruscant, like passing speeders, which have been heard since The Phantom Menace. The elevator Lonni Jung uses to meet with Luthen sounds the same as the elevator used by Anakin and Obi-Wan in Revenge of the Sith, and the engine dying on the transport sabotaged by the Ghormans sounds exactly like The Millennium Falcon’s failing hyperdrive in The Empire Strikes Back.
  • Podraces! – Two Imperial officers on Ghorman are shown watching podraces on a monitor, confirming the classic Star Wars sport still exists during the Imperial era.
  • The Ghorman Front – The Ghorman Front is shown trying to recruit Syril and sabotage Imperial operations. The group was first referenced by Saw Gerrera in Andor season 1.
  • Yularen And Partagaz Speaking With Emperor – The ISB’s Colonel Yularen is referenced multiple times in Andor season 2, episodes 4-6. Having been shown on-screen in Andor season 1, Yularen also served alongside Anakin Skywalker and the 501st Legion during the Clone Wars.
  • Senate Building – The Imperial Senate building is shown more than once in Andor season 2 (the same building seen during the prequels).
  • D’Qar – It’s revealed that Saw Gerrera and his Partisans were temporarily based on the planet D’Qar. As seen in the sequels, D’Qar became the base of operations for General Leia Organa and the Resistance, as seen in The Force Awakens.
  • Rhydonium – A volatile starship fuel, Saw Gerrera’s infatuation with breathing in the toxic fumes seemingly borders on addiction. As such, this could very well be what he’s shown breathing from his apparatus in Rogue One.
  • Radio Frequency Codes – Multiple codes can be heard when Kleya is cycling through different frequencies, named after different planets, including “Ryloth 7-4-8” and “Corellia 2-2-2”. However, she ultimately lands on Sculdun 3-4-3 to listen in on Davo Sculdun, the Chandrilan thug and art collector.
  • A Classic Clone Wars Voice Actor? – Before Cassian leaves for Ghorman, he’s given a fake identity and persona from an off-screen voice via an earpiece. This voice just so happens to be Sam Witwer, best known for being the voice of Darth Maul in The Clone Wars (as well as a Shoretrooper in Andor season 1).
  • The Imperial Ball – The Imperial Ball is being held among the various senatorial parties all over Coruscant. Taking place every year, the major gala is held in Emperor Palpatine’s Imperial Palace.
  • “The Emperor Has No Idea” – The misguided belief that the ISB is running a shadow organization that the Emperor has no idea what’s happening in his name comes from similar sentiments that were presented in the original novelization for A New Hope.
  • Roast Massiff – Saw Gerrera and his Partisans are shown eating a roasted massiff, the same dog-like creature best known for being seen on Tatooine alongside Tusken Raiders.
  • Saw’s Black X-Wings – Having been featured in the background of Andor season 1, Saw Gerrera’s squadron of X-Wings with unique black accents is shown taking off and ready for action in Andor season 2, episodes 4-6.
  • A Togruta Urn in Luthen’s Shop – When Kleya is talking with Davo’s curator, they are speaking next to an urn that features a small sculpture of a Torgruta (the same species as Ahsoka Tano).
  • The Grand Vizier – Kleya reveals that she and Luthen have at one point listened in on conversations held by Emperor Palpatine’s Grand Vizier, Mad Amedda, the imposing blue Chagrian who first debuted in The Phantom Menace.
  • The Onderon Jungle – Saw Gerrera shares with Wilmon bits of the past on his homeworld of Onderon. As a young man, Saw was part of a group of freedom fighters working to liberate their homeworld from Separatist control, as seen in The Clone Wars.
  • Steergard – While only referenced in Andor seasons 1 & 2, the planet Steergard is finally shown in Andor season 2, episode 6 when Luthen picks up Cassian to take him back to Coruscant.
  • “I Have Friends Everywhere” – Said first by Cassian and later by Vel, it’s confirmed that this is a key code phrase for members connected to Luthen’s resistance network.
  • Oathkeeper – Several new senators are inducted into the Imperial Senate in Andor season 2 (presumably all loyal to Palpatine). This idea is hammered home by the first on-screen debut of the Oathkeeper, a member of the Imperial Senate who traditionally opens sessions in the Senate Chambers.
  • Bail Organa – Senator Bail Organa makes a brief appearance, meeting with Mon Mothma and Perrin, though surprisingly played by Benjamin Bratt rather than Jimmy Smits as usual. This is because Smits was unavailable to star in the new season due to scheduling conflicts. Nevertheless, Organa does confirm his wife Breha is at another Coruscant party, though no mention is made of Princess Leia, who is perhaps still on Alderaan.
  • Sculdun’s Gallery – Multiple relics for the Star Wars timeline’s ancient past are shown in Davo’s gallery, such as Luthen’s carvian ring dating back to a “Lost Empire”, a helmet from the “Grand Conflict aka Battle of Carmeen” which Director Krennic and Mon Mothma get into a heated debate about, as well as a detailed Tinian Codex, coming from a race who valued and saw blindness as a gift and dating back 2000 years before the Empire’s reign.
  • “We Should Have Killed Krennic” – While they certainly wouldn’t have made it out of the gallery alive and likely would have doomed the Rebellion, Luthen’s quip to Kleya does make one wonder how the galaxy might have changed had they indeed killed Krennic right then and there.
  • “It Will Only Feel Like Forever” – On a mission to eliminate Doctor Gorst following the reveal that his program was going to expand beyond the ISB, Bix Caleen gets her revenge as the one who kills the Imperial scientist, using the same words and horrible torture device he used on her in Andor season 1 before she and Cassian blow up the facility they left him in
