Based on Jefferey Deaver’s 2019 novel The Never Game, Tracker is an action-drama series created by Ben H. Winters. The show stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist and tracker who helps find missing people for law enforcement using his past trauma and instincts, as well as the help of his handlers and friends. Besides Hartley, the series also stars Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise, and Fiona Rene.

Tracker was a bit of a surprise hit when it premiered on CBS in February 2024, receiving largely favorable reviews and high viewership numbers. A second season debuted in October 2024, which has also had strong ratings, though its reception hasn’t been quite as good as the first. An old-school action procedural, the show is anchored by Hartley’s charismatic performance in the lead role. While its first season is better than the second, both seasons of Tracker are quite entertaining, with interesting characters and just the right mix of serious and silly.

The Best Heart Attack of My Life premiered in January 2025 and has received generally favorable reviews. While the story can be uneven, it still has enough charm and warmth to keep you invested. The show is fairly simple (and at times formulaic) but ultimately rewarding experience. Easily one of the most underrated shows of the year, The Best Heart Attack of My Life is a deeply self-reflective and life-affirming watch.
