Now that 1923 has come to a close, audiences can look out for Spencer Dutton actor Brandon Sklenar in other upcoming projects. 1923’s cast features acting legends like Helen Mirren, Harrison Ford, and Timothy Dalton, but as is the case with most Taylor Sheridan shows, the prohibition-era series brought the best out of each of its actors, including a career-best performance from Sklenar, one of the younger stars in the cast. Brandon Sklenar Has Two Movies Releasing This Year
The wait for the next Brandon Sklenar project won’t be as long as one might have expected, as the actor will be in the film Drop, which releases in theaters on April 11. Showtimes for Drop are already available, and ScreenRant’s review has given the film an 8/10 score, emphasizing Sklenar’s performance as one of the highlights. Later this year, releasing on Christmas day, Sklenar will star in The Housemaid, a psychological thriller/horror movie co-starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, which could be one of his biggest releases yet. He’s currently attached to films called The Rescue and After Shock, both of which are in pre-production, though there isn’t much information available for either title. His movie, Green and Gold, premiered earlier this year, but it’s not available yet to public audiences.

1923 and Yellowstone itself may be over, but Taylor Sheridan isn’t letting up in expanding the franchise. One of Sheridan’s planned projects is 1944, another period prequel following the Duttons. Based on 1923’s ending, we know that Spencer Dutton will still be alive at this time, but there’s no confirmation that Brandon Sklenar will return for the role. The project would likely cast an older actor, though Sklenar could still potentially return to play his younger self in flashbacks. For now, viewers will have to hang tight on the possibility of a Spencer return.
