Mike White is chiming in on some fans’ pacing criticisms of The White Lotus Season 3.

What did Mike White say about some fans’ pacing criticisms of The White Lotus Season 3?

While The White Lotus Season 3 has received generally positive reviews from critics, some fans felt the pace was too slow compared to Seasons 1 and 2.

White, via Variety, addressed the pacing criticisms on the official White Lotus podcast, saying, “The pacing and the vibe… it definitely gets under their skin.”

White continued, “There was complaining about how there’s no plot. That part I find weird. It never did… part of me is just like bro, this is the vibe. I’m world-building. If you don’t want to go to bed with me then get out of my bed. I’m edging you! Enjoy the edging. If you don’t want to be edged, then get out of my bed. Do you know what I mean? Don’t be a bossy bottom. Get the f— out of my bed. Don’t come home with me. Don’t get naked in my bed. Get the f— out of my bed. Obviously something is going to happen.”

The White Lotus Season 3 additionally stars Parker Posey as Victoria Ratliff, Sam Nivola as Locholan Ratliff, Patrick Schwarzenegger as Saxon Ratliff, Sarah Catherine Hook as Piper Ratliff, Aimee Lou Wood as Chelsea, Jon Gries as Greg, Natasha Rothwell as Belinda Lindsey, Tayme Thapthimthong as Gaitok, Sam Rockwell as Frank, and Scott Glenn as Jim.

The White Lotus was officially renewed for a fourth season in January 2025; however, no cast or release date has yet been announced.
