Is Erika Jayne the Next ‘Real Housewife of Beverly Hills’ Star To Hand in Her Diamond?

We all have to come to terms with the harsh reality that all Bravolebrities must come and go at some point. While it’s not fun to see your favorite reality TV stars go, it always happens sooner or later. Some departures are for the best, like Annemarie Wiley and Crystal Minkoff, who really didn’t add much drama to the show. However, some exits sting. Lisa Vanderpump’s exit breaks my heart to this day, but “Puppygate” eroded her relationships with all ladies, including her best friend and partner in crime, Kyle Richards.
This year, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills may have a shocking exit as rumors are swirling around about Erika Jayne handing in her diamond – which would be an absolute shock. Fans have seen her go through the roller coaster of life, from coming into Season 6 with everything to losing it all in an instant when her husband, Tom Girardi, got involved in a legal scandal. If the rumors about her leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are true, I would absolutely feel the void on the show.
Why Do Fans Think Erika Jayne May Be Leaving ‘RHOBH’?
A recent flyer shared on social media left fans very confused. It read, “Erika Jayne… The iconic musician, TV star and former Real Housewife heads to Camden.” The one word that got everyone talking is “former!” The wording of the flyer set off all kinds of alarm bells for fans because calling her a “former Real Housewife” implies that she is no longer a Real Housewife. It’s also telling that Erika herself hasn’t said anything in response to the title, which could mean she’s trying to formulate a departure from the show. If she was staying, wouldn’t she just immediately debunk the rumor and avoid all the confusion? Although Erika saying farewell to RHOBH would be a shock, if you think about it, it kind of makes sense.
Erika isn’t the only one who seems to be looking beyond the Real Housewives franchise. Garcelle Beauvais announced she’s handing in her diamond to spend more time working on her acting and producing career, and it’s very possible Erika is doing the same with her singing career. Garcelle took to Instagram to announce her departure, saying, “I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing, and acting in” and that she wants to spend more time with her sons and focus on her career. Erika very well may be following suit. This season, we saw her begin to revive her singing career, most notably when she performed at the Viper Room for the GLAAD event. It wouldn’t be a total surprise if she chose to step away from the show to focus more on her music career.
With Garcelle already officially gone and rumors about Erika swirling around, it wouldn’t be too shocking if Kyle leaves, especially after all the turmoil she’s going through in her personal life. That would mean three instrumental cast members would be gone, creating a massive void in the show. This could very well be the year The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills falls into the footsteps of other Bravo shows that have gone through major cast shakeups, including The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives of Potomac. While the departure of all three would be especially notable, even just Garcelle and Erika would create a major shift.

Could Erika Jayne Be Reviving Her Spinoff?
Erika may be leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she could very well be sticking to Bravo. After all, she has had her own project: a series called Bet It All on Blonde. Erika could be in the process of bringing back the 2024 mini-series. In this spinoff, cameras followed Erika around in the lead-up to the big opening night of her Las Vegas residency. We saw a different Erika on Bet It All on Blond than we ever did on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Without the constant turmoil the other ladies cause, she was able to open up like never before, talking about her depression and how she felt she had lost her sex appeal. Bravo could create a second season of the spinoff which would follow Erika as she navigates her singing career once again. She did revive her role as Roxie Hart in Chicago, so that role may have opened the door to a whole bunch of opportunities that she is choosing to pursue over continuing RHOBH.
Erika Jayne May Be Taking A Step Back From ‘RHOBH’ to Focus on Her Legal Woes
While it is nice to think that, even if she does leave RHOBH, fans can still see Erika somewhere else, that might not be the case. The unfortunate reality is that Erika could be leaving the show to focus on her continuing legal problems. We saw her divorce and criminal scandal play out in Seasons 11 and 12, and since then, her ex-husband, Tom, has been found guilty of four counts of wire fraud. Now, Erika has been sued by Tom’s bankruptcy trustee, who alleged she knew about the nearly $25 million paid into her account.
She is also facing a new lawsuit from a designer, who is accusing her of trying to get fraudulent refunds. According to The Sun, Erika allegedly falsely accused him of credit card fraud. Marco Marco, a costume business, allegedly illegally charged her American Express card for up to $900,000. Christopher Psaila, who is a partner with Marco Morante, spent years designing outfits for Erika. Both men sued Erika over her claim and “accused her of a conspiracy to try and win back money she was never wrongly charged for in the first place.”
While the idea of Erika leaving remains a rumor, for now, there are so many reasons as to why Erika could be handing her diamond. Whether she’s following in Garcelle’s footsteps and focusing on her singing career, is part of some mass exodus cast shakeup, reviving her spinoff, or tending to her legal woes, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wouldn’t be the same without the blonde bombshell. Until Erika decides to make her own statement on the matter, fans can only hope that the rumors are false.
