WWE’s Trick Williams Goes From Extra to Speaking Role in ‘All American’ Season 7

Nine episodes have passed in All American‘s seventh season, and the hit CW show is getting even better, despite being the network’s only remaining original scripted series. Two weeks have passed since the most recent episode, with fans waiting patiently for All American news. Well, that news has arrived courtesy of an exclusive from Variety, revealing that a former footballer-turned-WWE star is set to appear in the upcoming season finale.
Trick Williams, one of the quickest rising stars in WWE‘s NXT brand, will officially lend his services to an exciting finale to what is proving to be one of All American‘s best seasons. Williams is certainly no stranger to The CW, with the network officially acquiring the rights to NXT back in 2024 and with a five-year deal beginning in October. Williams is also no stranger to the show itself, having appeared as an extra in Season 3.
It has been confirmed that Williams will play the Athletic Director of South Crenshaw High, Eddie Blair. As quoted in Variety, the wrestling star said he is, “super excited to be a part of this new season of ‘All American.'” He added, “They treated me like royalty, put me in my own trailer, and made sure I looked top tier. I really appreciated that because four years ago, I was working as an extra – as a kicker – for South Crenshaw. To come back as the AD for Crenshaw is super surreal and a true full-circle moment for me. They have a great cast and crew, incredible directors, and a strong team. It was an honor to be a part of the show.”
The Biggest Night in Wrestling Is Mere Days Away
Although wrestling fans are now likely excited to catch one of their up-and-comers in the All American Season 7 finale, first, there’s the small matter of Wrestlemania 41 to deal with. Set to take place on the weekend before All American‘s eleventh episode debuts, Wrestlemania 41 is already shaping up to be an unmissable live sports entertainment event, and is the first for new WWE host Netflix. After last year’s installment was heralded as one of the best in years, there is certainly a high bar to live up to. WWE are trying to hit that target by announcing a strong match card for the two-night event, which includes Cody Rhodes taking on John Cena in his brand-new villain era as his final tour in pro wrestling continues, CM Punk in his first Wrestlemania match since 2013, and much more.
New episodes of All American air on Mondays on The CW. For more updates on your favorite shows, stay tuned to Collider.
