The show could open up to a whole new audience in the upcoming years, but MAFS season 19 may be one of the last seasons viewers of the show see in its original format.
Married At First Sight Season 19 Latest News
The City Of The Season Has Been Announced
News is now starting to coming out about Married At First Sight season 19, there’s interesting information viewers have about the show’s return. While MAFS season 18 came to Chicago for the first time since season 5, Married At First Sight season 19 will tackle a whole new city. The show brought MAFS to Texas for season 19, with the cast filming in Austin. While Austin is an eclectic place, it’ll be interesting to see the levels of liberal and conservatism at play in the Lone Star State for the next season of the long-running show.
According to MAFS spoiler and fan account @mafsfan, not only is Austin the confirmed city for season 19, but the dates the wedding took place have also been released.
The five season 19 couples had their wedding from February 16-20, 2024.
That means filming took place for season 19 more than a year ago. It’s likely still in the editing process since season 18 just ended and the show has been known under Lifetime to take 4-6 month hiatuses between seasons.
Married At First Sight Season 19 Potential Release Date
The Show Should Air In Summer Or Fall 2025

Throughout MAFS’s run, there have been seasons of the series that aired in the fall and winter months as well as in the summer months, though MAFS season 18 was more of an outlier than others. MAFS season 17 aired in October 2023, with MAFS season 18 then waiting until October 2024.

While Married At First Sight could follow a similar pattern to its predecessors, it’s more likely that the show will be released earlier in 2025. Over the last few years, things have been moving around for MAFS and their episode orders have been longer, but MAFS season 18 ran a bit shorter. It’s possible MAFS season 19 could return in the late summer rather than in October 2025. Since Peacock is taking over and season 19’s premiere is highly anticipated, a summer premiere date seems more likely as the network takes over production.
Married At First Sight Season Cast
The Cast Will Be From Austin
For a while, there weren’t many clues about the cast of MAFS season 19, but more news recently dropped abou the casts ages, identities, and dynamics. Typically, there are 10 cast members who join MAFS each season to be coupled up for the experiment, and that element will continue within Married At First Sight season 19. The cast members will be from in or around Austin, Texas, which tends to be a more diverse city. MAFS season 19’s cast should be an eclectic mix of people who are looking to find love in an unconventional way.
Married at First Sight season 19 is going to change the game, as it will have the biggest casting shakeup in the show’s history. One of the couples, Belynda and Chad (via @mafsfan), are in their late forties/early fifties, and another couple, Rhonda and Patric, are in their late fifties/early sixties.
This change to more age inclusion is huge for the show, as the network seems to be following recent reality trends that highlight senior dating, like with The Golden Bachelor, The Golden Bachelorette, and The Later Daters.
Moreover, another casting twist is coming. There will be a mother-daughter duo in MAFS season 19. It’s unclear which of the cast members holds this relationship, but either Belynda or Rhonda is the mother involved. The other three couples have been announced, and everyone’s occupations are also available. Meghann and Derrek are both in their late thirties, Brittany and Will are in their early thirties, and Jalyn and Josh, in their late twenties and early thirties, respectively, round out the cast.
Married At First Sight has also done a casting call for new experts. It’s unclear whether season 19 will have new experts, but it is something that could happen in the future as the experts’ credibility has been declining due to the failure rate. Since season 19 was filmed so long ago, and the casting call was recent, that could mean Pastor Cal Roberson, Dr. Pia Holec, and Dr. Pepper Schwartz could be back once again
Where Will Married At First Sight Season 19 Air?
It Will Be On Peacock
Although Married At First Sight season 19 has already been confirmed, one of the biggest questions surrounding the next season has been where it will air. After a major deal was struck between MAFS’ production company Kinetic Content and Peacock, Married At First Sight will be moving from Lifetime to the streaming platform in season 19. While the premiere date has yet to be released, the hit reality show will be on Peacock in 2025.
