Sister Wives star Christine Brown has changed her life since leaving her polygamist husband, and now she’s ready to turn her attention to helping other people do the same. 52-year-old Christine grew up in a polygamous family, so she was very familiar with the lifestyle. Christine comes from a prominent Mormon family who are referred to as polygamous royalty. When she married Kody Brown in 1994, he was married to two other women: Meri Brown and Janelle Brown. He would eventually marry his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, in 2010.

When all was said and done, Kody had four wives and 18 children. The show was supposed to present the image of a functional polygamous family, but it ended up chronicling their downfall instead. By the time Sister Wives season 19 aired, the once-strong family unit was hopelessly divided and scattered to the wind. Christine was the first of Kody’s wives to walk away from the marriage, opening Pandora’s proverbial box in 2021. Since leaving, she has found love, rebranded herself completely, and lost 40 pounds. Unlike Kody, Christine continues to enjoy a close relationship with all of her children and grandchildren.
