‘Matt Damon Workout’ Trends After His Shirtless Yacht Pic Goes Viral
A picture of a shirtless and ripped Matt Damon has gone viral on the internet, making fans wonder about the workout required to get the same well-toned look sported by the 54-year-old actor. The actor is currently filming The Odyssey, a mythical action epic directed by Christopher Nolan, with whom Damon has previously collaborated. Additionally, Damon, who will be playing lead hero Odysseus in the film, has also sprouted a thick, bushy beard for the role.

As seen in photos obtained by Page Six, Matt Damon went shirtless, showing off his ripped physique while cruising on an Italian yacht on the Favignana coast in Italy on Friday.
In the pictures, Damon was seen wearing navy blue swimming trunks. He was also shown drinking beer and spending time with friends. Moreover, the actor performed some backflips on the boat and into the ocean.
Damon later wore a blue T-shirt, a grey and black baseball cap, and some pants. He completed this look with black sunglasses. He also sported a grey wool jacket at one point.
Damon previously showcased his toned body on the film’s sets on March 25. The Martian actor went shirtless and covered the lower part of his body with wet tan pants. He was later joined on set by co-star Zendaya, rumored to be playing Athena, who wore a cream-colored gown. In between takes, Damon warmed himself up with a navy blue puffer coat. (via People)
Matt Damon’s jacked body seems to have captivated fans enough to make them scour the internet for details on the workout regimen the actor went through to get in shape for Odysseus.
The Odyssey is currently scheduled to be theatrically released on July 17, 2026. According to an official tweet from Universal Pictures, the film will be shot using new IMAX technology. The Greek mythic action epic is Nolan’s second directorial venture with Universal Pictures, following 2023’s Academy Award winning Oppenheimer.
Besides Matt Damon and Zendaya, The Odyssey also stars Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, and Charlize Theron. Supporting cast members include Jon Bernthal, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Benny Safdie, and Mia Goth, among others.
