HGTV’s hit renovation showdown, Rock the Block, is back for its sixth installment — bigger, bolder, and with a few surprises that are already shaking things up. The new season premiered just yesterday on April 14, 2025, and it brings along not just returning fan favorites but a highly anticipated debut from none other than Queer Eye alum Bobby Berk.

The host Ty Pennington is helming the competition this season just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, where four design teams will now be battling it out with $250,000 budgets and six weeks to completely transform identical modern homes. But this time, the properties come with the largest backyards in Rock the Block history, and so, fans can expect some next-level outdoor design renovations. Not just that, though — for the first time in the show’s history, Rock the Block has also introduced blind judging, and that’ll ensure that each team’s designs are evaluated without bias.

Later in the season, a rotating panel of HGTV stars — including Jasmine Roth, Mina Starsiak Hawk, Kim Myles, and Property BrothersJonathan Scott— will assess everything from mudrooms to movie theaters. Even the teams themselves will weigh in during one round, and critique each other’s bonus rooms, and that whole dynamic will arguably take things up a notch.

‘Rock the Block’ Has Two Returning Teams This Season

Two returning teams are back for redemption and revenge — Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab) pairs with Luxe for Less designer Michel Smith Boyd, while Jonathan Knight returns, this time teaming up with his brother Jordan Knight, a familiar face from New Kids on the Block who previously helped out in Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp as well.

The rookies aren’t here to play nice either. Down Home Fab couple Chelsea and Cole DeBoer bring their Midwest charm, while Renovation Aloha stars Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama promise to bring an island twist to Utah’s terrain. The winning team will be earning a street named in their honor and, more importantly, a donation will be made in the winner’s name to No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit working to end child hunger. So far, the show has helped provide over 500,000 meals.

Rock the Block airs Mondays at 9 PM ET on HGTV, with episodes available to stream the next day on Max and Discovery+. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates!
