Blake Lively Named a ‘Titan’ on Time 100 Most Influential 2025 People List

Blake Lively has had a busy past year, and Time Magazine recently celebrated it, naming the actress and philanthropist to its annual 100 Most Influential People list.
What did Time Magazine say about Blake Lively?
Lively was named to the list as a “titan,” and named alongside high-profile figures like Serena Williams, Ed Bastian, Lorne Michaels, Simone Biles, and more. On Time’s website, civil rights lawyer Sherrilyn Ifill wrote about Lively’s inclusion and why her philanthropic endeavors and strive for social change earned her a place on the list.
“She and her husband Ryan Reynolds reached out in 2019 to make a contribution to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund,” wrote Ifill. “I had been getting a few of these calls, as our work fighting against voter suppression and police brutality was receiving national attention. I’m always curious about the kind of research famous people do before they make that cold call to offer their support. The ones I have remained in relationship with are those who, like Blake, really did their homework. I admired immediately her curiosity, and her sincere work to understand the conditions that shape this country.”
Ifill also called Lively a “risk taker” and someone who is “committed to moving this country forward.”
“Her commitment to filling those gaps—and becoming the most fully informed and prepared citizen—is what I appreciate most about her. Blake is a serious person. She’s a risk taker. And she’s committed to moving this country forward. For her children. And for mine.”
Outside of her philanthropic efforts, Lively has been embroiled in an ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. The star actress and filmmaker have been going back-and-forth in the courts over alleged misconduct and sexual harassment claims while filming 2024’s It Ends With Us. An official trial is set to begin in March 2026, but the pair have been levying various claims against one another in the meantime.
