Jacob Elordi Confirms He’s Started Filming on ‘Euphoria’ Season 3

It’s now been over three years since the Season 2 finale of Euphoria, and fans have been getting restless. With news and reveals proving few and far between, the rumor mill has even started to slow its spin. This comes despite filming reportedly beginning back in mid-January after several setbacks, although today brings an exciting new development for the next outing. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jacob Elordi, the man behind the series’ Nate Jacobs, revealed that he had finally begun filming the third season.
During an interview about Elordi’s Prime Video series, The Narrow Road to the Deep North, the Aussie actor was asked about being back on set and the return of the series. “I just shot my first days of that this week,” Elordi confirmed, adding, “It was incredible. You also have to understand we’ve grown up on that. We grew up from late teens into adults on that show. It was beautiful. It was really touching to go back and step into that environment, it was like stepping into a time capsule. Nothing had changed.”
With an 88% critical score and an 84% audience rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes to its name, there’s no doubt that Euphoria has been a success. Not without its detractors, the series has become somewhat of a mouthpiece for a generation of teenagers who feel misunderstood and as if their struggles are deemed trivial because of their age; Euphoria proves this is anything but the case. When the third season will be released is still ultimately unknown, although it is reported that it won’t be until 2026.
Who is Set to Feature in ‘Euphoria’ Season 3?
On the topic of his cast mates in the interview, Elordi gushed, “It’s my great pleasure to share the screen with them again.” But, who exactly is in said cast for Euphoria Season 3? Of course, alongside Elordi, Zendaya is set to return as Rue Bennett, with the show simply not being the same without the Dune: Part Two actress. Sydney Sweeney will reprise her role as Cassie Howard, which likely means more complicated relationship dynamics with Elordi’s Nate, with Alexa Demie set to also return as Cassie’s best friend, Maddy Perez. As well as this, Hollywood royalty Sharon Stone has now been confirmed to enter the world of Euphoria, making for a huge coup for the show. Sadly, some faces won’t be returning to the series, with both Barbie Ferreira and Storm Reid confirming they are set to be absent, as well as the tragic passing of the supremely talented Angus Cloud, leaving an unfillable hole in the ensemble.
Euphoria is available to stream now on Max. Make sure to stay tuned to Collider for more updates on your favorite shows.
