Giancarlo Esposito, John Cho, and more have joined previously announced Mahershala Ali in the upcoming movie, Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, written and directed by former Blade MCU director Bassam Tariq. It hails from Amazon MGM Studios‘ Orion Pictures.

Other details about the project are still being kept close to the vest. In addition to directing, Tariq — the filmmaker behind Mogul Mowgli — will also serve as the film’s producer alongside Two & Two Pictures’ Lucan Toh (Before I Disappear) and Babak Anvari (I Came By).

Tariq, who was originally set to direct Marvel Studios’ Blade revival, exited the project due to “continued shifts” in the production timeline — making the upcoming film a reunion of sorts for him and Ali.

Who else stars in Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother?

Apart from Esposito and Cho, others stars attached to the project include Abubakr Ali (Anything’s Possible, Law & Order: Organized Crime), Tramell Tillman (Severance, Godfather of Harlem), Tiffany Boone (Mufasa: The Lion King, The Chi), Laith Nakli (Problemista, The Wall), Adia (Full Circle), and Jahleel Kamara (Nanny).

It was announced in February that Ali will be starring in a project directed and written by Tariq. He is best known for his roles in Moonlight, Green Book, Hidden Figures, The Place Beyond The Pines, True Detective, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, Luke Cage, Kicks, Swan Song, and the record-breaking thriller Leave the World Behind. Ali can next be seen starring in Jurassic World Rebirth, set to hit theaters on July 2.

Apart from Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul, Esposito also starred in Do the Right Thing, The Usual Suspects, The Boys, The Mandalorian, and, The Gentlemen, among others. Meanwhile, Cho is known for his roles in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Searching, Afraid, Star Trek Beyond, Columbus, and more.
