Pedro Pascal recently had massive praise for his highly anticipated The Mandalorian & Grogu during this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration.

What did Pedro Pascal say about The Mandalorian & Grogu?

While appearing at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, Pascal spoke with Extra about the upcoming movie, which releases in theaters on May 22, 2026. While talking about it, Pascal had some high praise for the continuation of his character’s adventures from the Disney+ series.

“I think that The Mandalorian & Grogu will be one of the greatest adventure movies in the canon of all of cinema,” Pascal said. “I think Jon Favreau is a genius. The way that it has involved from a special cinematic experience, that was episodic, that you could experience in your own home…the way that they nailed that kind of special, special viewing experience, is exactly as grand as it’s going to be.”

Pascal also said that he believes the movie will provide “one of the greatest adventures” that fans have seen since the first Star Wars movie was released in 1977.

Alongside Pascal, The Mandalorian & Grogu will star Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White, and Johnny Coyne, among others.

The Mandalorian & Grogu will continue the story from the hit Disney+ series on the big screen. Jon Favreau will be producing the movie in addition to directing, while Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni will also be producing the film, which will likely feature Sigourney Weaver.

“The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu,” says the synopsis for Season 3 of the series. “Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”

The show hails from executive producers Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, Karen Gilchrist, and Carrie Beck. Favreau served as showrunner and one of the third season’s directors. Seasons 1-3 are now available for streaming on Disney+, where it has become one of the streaming service’s most popular series and helped kick off a resurgence of Star Wars television shows.
