Star Wars Celebration 2025 Live Blog: Day 2

This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.
9:25PM – They’re going to show the first episode of Andor season 2!
9:24PM – And now there’s a tease of what they brought for us to see. Luna says “we wanted to bring something very special… for your eyes only.”
9:23PM – Luna gives a lovely speech about Tudyk’s performance that gets a big ovation from the audience. “There is nothing like working with someone who’s always finding a way to make it more interesting, more fun, you know, to surprise you, and as an actor, that’s beautiful. I never knew it was gonna be so much fun.”
9:21PM – Tudyk adds: “I held out for my own spin-off: K too fast, K too furious. Tony’s a better writer, it turns out.”
9:20PM – HUGE cheers for Alan Tudyk, who will be voicing K-2SO again in Andor season 2. He jokes that he’s “not going to top that.”
9:19PM – Adria Arjona discusses Bix’s arc in season 2: “I think this season, you’ll really get to see these two characters [Cassian and Bix] come together, and it’s probably one of my favorite parts.”
9:17PM – Kyle Soller follows up on Dedra and Kyril’s relationship in season 2. “It’s very weird… there’s a lot of staring.”
9:15PM – Denise Gough says that things are going to get strange in season 2, and that, for Dedra, it’s “a lot more fascist.”
9:14PM – Genevieve O’Reilly teases that the season is going to begin with a wedding on Chandrila. “We go to some dark places this season, and so [Mon Mothma] must step out of the shadows and risk everything to speak some truth.”
9:09PM – Luna tells audiences that, as Andor gets closer to Rogue One, we’ll see more returning characters. And says to go back and re-watch Rogue One after season 2 is done, because it’ll be a whole new experience.
9:08PM – Luna promises that Andor season 2 is “so big in every possible way.”
9:06PM – The Andor cast and crew is now on the stage, including Tony Gilroy, Diego Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly, Adria Arjona, Kyle Soller, Denise Gough, and Alan Tudyk!
8:57PM – It’s almost time for the Andor panel to begin. There’s already been some dancing, running around, and now there’s only one way out for these guys:
Live blog leader, standing by. It’s time for day two of Star Wars Celebration 2025. And that means it’s time for Andor and Ahsoka, both of which will have big panels today.
Andor will kick us off on the Celebration Stage at 10:00AM Japan time/9:00PM ET/6:00PM PT, with a panel looking ahead to season 2, which begins next week on April 22. The lineup includes Tony Gilroy, Diego Luna, and special guests, so expect more of the cast members to be in attendance. I’m not sure it’s possible to be more hyped for Andor season 2 given just how great season 1 was, but Celebration is about to test that theory.
The Ahsoka panel will follow at 1:00PM JT/midnight ET/9PM PT. Although billed as a look-back at season 1, Dave Filoni confirmed yesterday that Ahsoka season 2 will begin filming soon. With that, and expected guests such as Rosario Dawson and Hayden Christensen, it seems a safe bet we’re going to get some teases of what to expect. More of Hayden’s Anakin? Yes please!
As with yesterday, myself, Molly Brizzell, and Ash Crossan are on the ground here in Japan. There’ll be more interviews to come from Ash, so keep your eyes peeled for our exclusives as we follow-up on all the unfolding news and reveals.
As a recap of day one of Star Wars Celebration 2025, things kicked off with talk of Lucasfilm’s upcoming theatrical movies. That included the confirmation of Shawn Levy’s standalone film, now officially titled Star Wars: Starfighter, which will star Ryan Gosling. Then, there was footage of The Mandalorian & Grogu.
In the afternoon, it was time for Lucasfilm Animation. That started with a look back at the past 20 years, but was then dominated by the future. We get to see a full (excellent) episode of Tales of the Underworld, and a trailer for the newly-announced TV series, Maul: Shadow Lord. Suffice to say, day one delivered. Can day two beat it? We’ll soon find out! As ever, stay tuned to screenrant.com and @screenrant on X, Instagram, and Facebook for all things Star Wars.
