Lori Romero was the hair stylist on Ransom Canyon. She passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 61. Romero was an experienced makeup and hair stylist who was born on August 10, 1963, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is where many scenes in Ransom Canyon were filmed. Romero had been in the industry since 2016 and earned her first credit as a makeup artist on the 2016 film Dead Billy.

According to Lori Romero’s obituary, “Lori’s talent and specialization in high quality make-up and hair helped create her career with the movie industry. Her film family were a very important part of her life.”

Romero is remembered by friends, family, and colleagues for “the biggest heart. She was everyone’s best friend and was willing to step in to help anyone who needed assistance. Her laugh was infectious; when she laughed, everyone else did too.” A memorial service was held for Romero on January 18, 2025, in Albuquerque, NM.
