WWE Raw hit the ground running after a wild WrestleMania weekend, and if you blinked, you definitely missed something. One of the most controversial WrestleManias in history was never going to drift off without some big news. From John Cena vowing to hold the WWE title hostage to Bron Breakker absolutely bulldozing Roman Reigns, this was a night packed with surprises, swerves, returns, and heel turns. And a crowd that, as ever, just did its own thing. Let’s get into it.

“Winners Write History,” but Orton Ends Cena’s Story

The night kicked off with John Cena doing what John Cena does best—owning the mic and belittling an entire crowd. Declaring himself the “last undisputed champion of WWE” and claiming the fans didn’t matter, Cena cut a scathing promo that turned the Vegas crowd against him faster than you can say “ruthless aggression.”

But before he could finish his victory lap, Randy Orton arrived like a snake in the grass and RKO’d Cena into next week. Orton stood tall, hoisted the WWE Championship, and left Cena lying. It looks like the Viper will be the first challenger to Cena’s throne at Backlash next month, in Orton’s hometown of St. Louis.

Becky Lynch Snaps and Leaves Lyra Valkyria Flattened

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez regained the WWE Women’s Tag Titles after a banger of a match with Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria. But the real story came after the bell.

Lynch initially played the supportive mentor after the defeat, but then she clotheslined Valkyria out of her boots. The crowd went from booing to chanting “one more time” as Lynch delivered not one but two Manhandle Slams to her former partner. A long-awaited heel turn and a great execution, and it gives Lynch something new to do. (Like join her husband as a top heel in the company…)

Iyo Sky vs. Stephanie Vaquer: Pure Fire, Until It All Breaks Down

Iyo Sky and Stephanie Vaquer delivered an instant classic in their champion vs. champion showcase. It was stiff, fast, and technical—a real treat. Of course, it ended in chaos, because it could never end clean. Roxanne Perez interfered, followed by Giulia, who attacked both champions. Then Rhea Ripley hit the ring, cleared house, and stared down Giulia in what felt like the start of something massive. Yeah, Raw just set up three dream feuds in one segment.

Dominik Retains, but Judgment Day’s Cracks Are Showing

Dominik Mysterio squeaked out a win over Penta with help from the returning JD McDonagh—but the Judgment Day clubhouse isn’t all good vibes. Finn Balor looked less than thrilled as Dom soaked up the spotlight, especially when Liv Morgan and Raquel crashed the celebration. Carlito’s smugness didn’t help either. Is a Judgment Day implosion on the horizon? Of course it is, but this is the slowest of slow builds.

Rusev Returns and the Crowd Erupts

Just when the Alpha Academy were about to challenge The New Day for the World Tag Titles, Rusev returned to a huge pop. He destroyed everyone in sight and left the champions rattled. No match, no warning—just mayhem. Happy Rusev Day indeed.

Jey Uso’s Emotional Coronation

Jey Uso celebrated his World Heavyweight Championship win with a heartfelt speech, a surprise reunion with Jimmy Uso, and an emotional hug from Sami Zayn. It was pure feel-good TV. But with these three sharing a ring again, how long before one of them throws the first punch?

Gunther attacked both Pat McAfee and Michael Cole, locking Cole in a sleeper and laying McAfee out cold. Adam Pearce ordered Cole to take the night off, but the veteran announcer powered through with a bloody nose. Gunther’s losing streak is clearly getting to him. Babyface turn? Heel meltdown? Either way, he’s dangerous.

Bron Breakker: Heyman’s Next Big Thing

The final segment was a cinematic fever dream. Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, and CM Punk clashed in a chaotic confrontation after Rollins and Heyman gloated over their victory on WrestleMania Saturday. Then Roman Reigns returned… and got speared into oblivion by Bron Breakker, who revealed himself as the newest Heyman guy. Breakker also took out Punk, leaving Heyman, Breakker, and Rollins standing tall. The Dangerous Alliance 2.0 is real, and it’s terrifying.

This was everything the Raw after WrestleMania should be: chaotic, star-studded, emotional, and packed with teases about what’s next. Cena vs. Orton is set. Becky’s a heel again. Rusev’s back. And Bron Breakker just leapfrogged into main-event territory.
