Sam Raimi wraps filming on Dylan O’Brien-led Send Help
As per reports, the acclaimed filmmaker has completed the filming stage of his forthcoming movie, Send Help.
The update was conveyed by @DiscussingFilm on X (formerly Twitter). Distributed by 20th Century Studios, Send Help is a horror thriller. It follows the journey of two colleagues, played by Dylan O’Brien and Rachel McAdams. They inadvertently end up on an abandoned island after surviving a plane crash. Harboring past resentments, the two must join forces and work together to survive the menacing threats of the foreign land if they wish to make it out of the island alive.
Notably, Send Help will be the first full-fledged horror movie from Sam Raimi after Drag Me to Hell. After helming the 2009 Alison Lohman-led flick, he took over the reins of 2013’s Oz the Great and Powerful, before making his directorial debut in the MCU with 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Incidentally, Drag Me to Hell also served as Raimi’s return to the genre that established his place in the entertainment industry, following his early 2000s foray into the superhero film category with Sony’s Spider-Man trilogy.
In addition to Dylan O’Brien and Rachel McAdams, the Sam Raimi-helmed Send Help also features Chris Pang and Dennis Haysbert in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Damian Shannon and Mark Swift of Freddy vs. Jason fame have written the screenplay of the film. Modeled under the Raimi Productions banner, the movie will also feature Zainab Azizi as a producer.
Send Help has officially wrapped filming now and will stomp into theatres on January 30, 2026.
