Potential Season 3 Storyline For Netflix K-Drama Thriller Pitched By Stars Park Ji-hoon And Choi Min-yeong

Warning: SPOILERS lie ahead for Weak Hero Class 2!Weak Hero Class 2 stars Park Ji-hoon and Choi Min-yeong discuss potential storylines for their characters in season 3. Premiered on April 25, season 2 follows Yeon Si-eun (Park) as he joins Eunjang High as a new student, having been expelled from his former school. However, violence continues to follow him in the new season, where he and his new classmates, Park Hu-min (Ryeo Un), Seo Jun-tae (Choi), and Go Hyun-tak (Lee Min-jae), face bullies at his new school.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Weak Hero Class 2‘s Park and Choi pitched potential storylines for their characters in season 3. While the stars can’t confirm there will be another season, Choi shared that he would like to see Jun-tae further evolve following his transformation in season 2, while Park mused upon the idea of seeing Si-eun go rogue after spending two seasons being on the side of justice. Check out their comments below:
Choi Min-yeong: If there were to be a Weak Hero Class 3, I would like to see how Jun-tae behaves after he’s broken out of his shell. There are a lot of things that he’s done for the first time in season 2, so now I want him to find his own way of protecting his friends and really leverage that all-new Jun-tae he’s become.
Whether there should be a season 3? I’m in no position to talk about that. It doesn’t mean that I don’t want it or anything like that. It just means that it’s up to the audience and the creators.
Park Ji-hoon: I did give next season some thought. Because of how everything kind of ended nicely in season 2, I thought about how Si-eun was always on the side of justice. He always had a strong moral compass, so what if he loses his friends in season 3 because of some things that happen, and he goes rogue? That would be a whole new twist to the story and a whole new narrative.
Maybe it’s going to be a whole new vibe if he’s on the other side this time around, and if he’s having these conflicts with his friends. That’s just my wild imagination because, like Min-yeong said, it’s not something up to me. But I just gave it some thought.
Class 2 Has Set Up Another Season
Jun-tae went through a very significant personal transformation in Weak Hero Class 2, which would continue to affect the character after this season. In the same interview, Choi explained that Si-eun served as a “role model” for Jun-tae and showed him the courage to stand up for himself and others, revealing that Jun-tae’s character arc in the new season is his becoming, which can be carried out and further explored in the next season.

The 2022 K-drama, Weak Hero Class 1, is now streaming on Netflix, and these are the stars that make up this riveting high school action drama.
Much like how Weak Hero Class 1 paved the way for Weak Hero Class 2, the second chapter ends in a way that still leaves plenty of room for more stories. Not to mention, there are two post-credit scenes in the series finale, potentially setting up a major antagonist in season 3. Though the two stars are coy in their comments about a third season, it seems that the story in season 2 is fully prepared for a renewal.
Our Take On Park & Choi’s Weak Hero Class 3 Pitches
Their Stories Are Far From Finished
Weak Hero Class 2 ends in a way that brings closure to the overarching storylines in Weak Hero Class 1, but it’s certainly not the end of the story for the protagonist Si-eun, Jun-tae, and their other friends. The end of the chapter brings forth new possibilities and a renewal to the world of Weak Hero.
Though Si-eun going rogue, which loosely fits into the “Weak Hero” description, sounds like a less likely scenario, the idea is certainly very interesting. As teased in Weak Hero Class 2‘s trailer, the season sees so much growth in Si-eun and his new classmates. With the stakes continuing to rise and the conflicts being on a greater scale, there is a lot to explore in a third season, and hopefully, Weak Hero fans will receive some good news soon.
